Brandon tries his hardest to romance Jill before she heads back to New York. After alienating Darla and her circle of friends, Brenda and her inner bitch call it quits at the University of Minnesota and head back to L.A.
Brenda returns to Beverly Hills after dropping out of the University of Minnesota, much to Brandon's dismay since he had already turned her bedroom into his personal man-cave. The rest of the gang registers for classes at California University...except for Dylan, who gives up after his freshman registration process doesn't go so well.
Steve urges Brandon to join the KEG fraternity with him, but Brandon is more interested in running for the student senate. Brenda, Kelly, Donna, and Ahn-drea make the rounds on Sorority Row and zero in on Alpha Omega...but eventually Brenda and Ahn-drea decide that Greek life isn't for them.
Donna tells David she wants to quit DJing for the campus radio station...but then receives a coveted afternoon time slot, which causes tension in their relationship. John Sears makes several advances toward Kelly, and she reacts by giving him a lot of really mixed messages.
Kelly and Donna confront David about his slothfulness. Dylan tells Papa Walsh he needs to buy a transportation vehicle, but ends up getting another Porsche. Ahn-drea's cherry is popped by Dan Rubin, and Brenda goes on a blind date with the son of one of Papa Walsh's clients...and her overly manicured eyebrows might soon be heading into Joan Crawford territory.
After getting carjacked, Dylan becomes a gun nut and spends his spare time at the local gun range. Ahn-drea is vexed that she and Dan Rubin are unable to take their relationship public...even though there's no real reason they can't. Brenda spends an excessive amount of time with her new beau, Stuart, but it doesn't sit well with Mama and Papa Walsh.
Mama and Papa Walsh finally get their own storyline when the gang attends their twentieth wedding anniversary party. Mel dumps Erin off on David for the weekend so he can get his rocks off with his hot new girlfriend in Cabo. Stuart proposes to Brenda, and Ahn-drea starts to question her feelings for Dan...and meets her future husband, Jesse.
Jackie files for sole custody of Erin, and her lawyer subpoenas a reluctant David to testify during a deposition. Brenda goes ape-shit when she learns that the Carsons want her to sign a prenup. Steve goes out on a date with a girl who's eager to meet a KEG man, and Brandon ends his budding romance with Lucinda when he learns that she's married to Professor Randall.
Brenda and Stuart get overwhelmed by wedding planning and decide to elope to Las Vegas. The gang learns of the elopement, follows them to Vegas, and makes subtle efforts to get the couple to call off their ill-advised nuptials.
Laura aggressively pursues Steve, but when he tells her he has a girlfriend, she goes mental and falsely accuses him of date rape. D'Shawn threatens to tell Professor Randall that Brandon and Lucinda are sleeping together if Brandon doesn't take his sociology midterm for him. Kelly finally discovers that John Sears is a total douchebag and is only interested in her for sex.
Brandon goes on a road trip to look for Emily Valentine and just happens to run into her in a cable car in San Francisco. Dylan decides to spend Thanksgiving Day with the Walshes, and this really irks Kelly. John Sears reaches a scuzzy new low when he hits on a teenage runaway who's living at the Downey House.
Emily must choose between studying at the prestigious Cousteau Institute in France or restarting a romantic relationship with Brandon...and (mercifully) chooses France. Ahn-drea dumps Dan and starts dating Jesse Vasquez. Steve is ordered to break into Professor Randall's office as part of KEG's Hell Week initiation, and gets caught in the act by a security guard.
Donna tells David she's finally willing to have sex with him...but then rescinds the offer after a surprise visit from her parents. Steve is put on fraternity probation after being caught breaking into Professor Randall's office. Dan is jealous of Ahn-drea's new boyfriend and acts like a bigger douchebag than usual.
The Walshes plan to spend Christmas in Hawaii, but don't make it there after their plane experiences mechanical difficulties. A woman and her frizzy-headed daughter appear on Dylan's doorstep, and he's stunned to learn that the girl is his half-sister. David is tired of not gettin' any and dumps Donna on her birthday.
David gets addicted to crystal meth after Howard gives him a hit so he can study for finals and DJ. Steve and John Sears challenge each other to "the test", which means that one of them will get thrown out of KEG. D'Shawn gets injured during a basketball game and finally shows an interest in his studies.
Erin temporarily disappears while druggie David is babysitting her. Donna goes skiing in Big Bear and meets a ski instructor who becomes implausibly smitten with her. Dylan discovers that Suzanne slept around while she was dating Jack, which means that Erica might not really be his sister.
After a lot of fake soul-searching, Ahn-drea decides to keep her baby and agrees to marry Jesse in a shotgun wedding. When Kelly and Donna discover that David's still doing drugs, they move out of the beach house. Dylan buys out Joey's share of the Peach Pit and becomes Nat's business partner.
David agrees to hold onto a backpack filled with drugs for Andy, but after the police stage a drug bust at the dorm, he gets wigged out and calls Dylan, who advises him to flush the stuff down the toilet. Ahn-drea and Jesse get married at City Hall.
Brandon has to keep his dalliance with Lucinda on the down low, so he asks Kelly to be his beard for the many task force functions he's required to attend. Brenda and Stuart plan a romantic weekend in Palm Springs, but when she accidentally locks his keys in his car while they're in the desert, he gets pissy and she ends the relationship.
Kelly and Brandon go on a task force related weekend retreat while Dylan and Lucinda get together to watch her unfinished documentary. Ahn-drea sublets her dorm room to Steve and sternly warns him to behave himself. Donna and Brenda encounter a cute little dog who escaped from the university's research lab.
After Dylan tells Kelly that Lucinda made a pass at him, Kelly tells him that she and Brandon shared a kiss at the retreat. A lethargic Rocky is diagnosed with cancer and dies, causing an enraged Brenda to link up with a group of terrorist animal activists.
After getting arrested with the other animal rights activists, the FBI offers Brenda full immunity in exchange for her cooperation. Steve and his father play together in a golf tournament and argue the whole time. Josh ends up publishing a puff piece about Brandon in The Condor.
Brenda finds a diary written by a girl who lived in her house during the 1960s...and this brings about several pointless time travel segments to the era of stringy hairdos, unkempt mustaches, and tie-dye.
Steve is shocked when he learns that KEG president Mike Ryan is gay...and accidentally (sort of) outs him to the entire fraternity. David takes piano lessons from a blind woman and, to the annoyance of Donna, develops a little crush on her.
Brenda eagerly anticipates the arrival of stage director Roy Randolph to the CU campus, and auditions for the lead role in his production of Cat On a Hot Tin Roof. Clare tries to force a romantic encounter with Brandon, but he has zero interest in her. Ahn-drea's weight is ballooning so rapidly that she can't find any maternity clothes that will fit her.
Brenda gets pissed off at Kelly for auditioning for the lead role in Cat On a Hot Tin Roof. Clare tells her father that Brandon's her date for the prom...but doesn't actually ask Brandon if he wants to be her date. Ahn-drea has pregnancy problems and is prescribed bed rest for the next three months.
Laura goes squirrelly when she's cast as an understudy, and threatens to hang herself after she gets kicked off the production of Cat On a Hot Tin Roof for trying to sabotage Brenda. Clare continues to stalk Brandon, who shows no signs of being interested in ever hooking up with her.
Brandon's name is left off the task force's traveling roster, and he worries that he's no longer invited to attend the conference (or whatever) in Washington. David meets a music rep and is invited to jam with three other musicians, but quickly realizes they're into drugs. Ahn-drea is admitted to the hospital so her precarious pregnancy can be closely monitored.
Brandon travels to Washington, D.C. to attend the task force conference and meet President Clinton...and is stalked by Clare and Lucinda. Ahn-drea gives birth to a tiny preemie girl who has to be kept in an incubator. Brenda plans to spend the summer in London (never to return to Beverly Hills, 90210 again), Kevin scams Dylan out of his millions, and Donna catches David doinking Ariel Hunter in the back of a limo and breaks up with him.
