Recap: Blake is rushed to the hospital by ambulance...and as the paramedics wheel him over to an exam room, the doctor peppers Steven with questions about Blake's medical history. Steven snaps back that he should be spending his time saving Blake, not wasting precious time with questions, and the doctor snaps back that Blake's life depends on him and his medical team knowing if the old goat was taking any kind of medication. As Steven stares back at him blankly, Sammy Jo - who's been eavesdropping on the conversation - rushes over, hands the doctor a piece of paper, and says it includes a list of the chemicals that were in whatever heart medicine Rita has been poisoning him with for the last few episodes. Rita races over to Delta Rho in a panic and tells George Hamilton that Operation Poison Blake to Death has backfired, then explains that shortly after Blake collapsed, Steven found him and immediately had him rushed to the hospital. George Hamilton instructs her to head over to the hospital pronto and play the role of concerned wife, and Rita responds by scrunching her face worriedly and then staring contemplatively into space. Krystle is having a restless sleep when George Hamilton enters the attic carrying a tray with hot tea. She tells him she was having a tortured dream about Blake, and George Hamilton rolls his eyes and snarls, "Blake. Always Blake" and barks at her to forget about her husband. Krystle ignores that edict and says she was dreaming that Blake was calling out to her 'cause something was very, very wrong...then pleads with George Hamilton to find out if he's OK. He responds by staring back at her stonily and growling, "Your tea is getting cold" before stiffly striding out of the room. Rita/Krystle arrives at the hospital and runs into Amanda and Prince Michael. They ask her whassup with Blake being rushed to the ER, and Rita/Krystle says it's something to do with his heart. Over in the guest penthouse suite, King Galen is loafing in his wheelchair, pretending to still be paralyzed when Alexis breezes into the room. He whines about his paralysis, then tells her his underground Free Moldavia campaign could use an infusion of $2 million. When Alexis reacts by frowning disapprovingly at the financial drain he's fast becoming, he complains about how hard it is for him to ask for handouts - but Alexis shakes off her initial reluctance and says she considers these cash gifts to be less a handout and more an investment in their future. A few seconds later, Amanda calls Alexis to let her know that Blake has been rushed to the hospital with a serious heart issue, and Alexis is all, "Ack! I'll be right over!" Alexis arrives at the hospital waiting room decked out in a fantastic fur coat/hat ensemble and makes a beeline over to Rita/Krystle and demands to know what she's done to Blake. After the two bicker back and forth, Alexis gets all in her face and warns her that if Blake dies, she'll make her wish she were never born. Alexis drops by Blake's hospital room and breathily urges him to fight for his life, then says she can't help but blame his cheating trophy wife for everything that's happened. George Hamilton, who's masquerading as Dr. Travers, covertly approaches Sammy Jo at the hospital's reception desk to tell her that Blake is dying, just as they planned - but Sammy Jo reminds him that murdering Blake wasn't actually part of their plan and that she has no problem ratting him out for murder. He points out that she hasn't exactly been an innocent bystander in the tedious Rita/Krystle/doppelganger plot and will happily take her down with them if she blabs about it. When Steven notices the two of them talking, he rushes over and demands to know what's going on, and Sammy Jo plays dumb about anything being amiss - just a nurse emerges from Blake's room to inform Steven that his father isn't responding well to treatment. Steven looks on as the doctor monitors Blake's heart rate...and when that's done, he sits by his father's bedside and urges him to not give up 'cause they're just getting to know each other again. Blake regains consciousness and lightly thrashes about as he has flashbacks of when Rita/Krystle ignored his pleas for help before he collapsed, and starts moaning, "Krystle.." Alexis spots "Dr. Travers" and asks him what he's doing at the hospital, so he tells her he's doing rounds for his private patients. Alexis snidely remarks on Krystle's preference for the company of younger men and says she'd be a great catch for a handsome doctor such as himself...and if she and Blake split, she'd probably be allowed to keep all of her jewelry. Dominique arrives at the hospital and is met by Jonathan Lake (who had alerted her about Blake's health crisis), and the two rush over to Blake's hospital room, where Dominique sits by his bedside and begs him to get well. Garrett Boydston appears and tells Dominique he came to the hospital as soon as he heard and assures her that Blake will fully recover...and Dominique wails about how frightened she is, and the two hug as Jonathan watches in dismay from across the hall. Dex storms into the guest suite where King Galen is wheeling around and angrily demands to know whaddup with him requesting another $2 million of "blood money" from his wife. King Galen calmly says he discussed the money request with Alexis, and that he (Dex) needn't concern himself with the matter since the money isn't his. Dex snarls that his reinstatement as the Moldavian king won't necessarily make Moldavia a free country, then says he can't wait until he's able to get up from his chair and walk out of his home. After he storms out, Galen gets up from his chair and stares smugly into space. Adam arrives at the hospital, bursts his way into Blake's hospital room, and warns the unconscious old goat not to die until after he re-includes him in his will. Over in the penthouse boudoir, Dex is trying to get Alexis interested in some marital hanky panky, but she's too distracted by Blake's heart problems to indulge in a romp and tells him she really just wants to be left alone. Dex angrily points out that he gets far less of her attention than either of her exes - Blake and King Galen - then puts on his robe and storms out of the bedroom. The doctor enters the waiting room to inform Rita/Krystle and Dominique that it looks like Blake is going to pull through after all. Rita/Krystle looks aghast, then catches herself and pretends to be greatly relieved by the news. The doctor explains that they've been counteracting the harmful heart medicine he was taking, and Dominique scrunches her face confusedly and says she had no idea that Blake was taking heart medication...and the doctor says that Blake's private physician also had no idea. As soon as the doctor and Dominique are out of earshot, Rita/Krystle rushes over to the nearest pay phone to inform George Hamilton that Blake has survived the poisoning, and he says the best course of action is for her to continue playing the role of the concerned wife. Elena bursts into Prince Michael's office at La Mirage to inform him that her father has been imprisoned by Yuri, who's now seized full control of Moldavia. She wails about how worried she is about her pops and wonders what will become of him, and Prince Michael clucks sympathetically and gives her a comforting hug - just as Amanda enters the room and stares poutishly at the sight of the embrace. She snappishly tells her husband that she dropped by to tell him that Blake is going to be OK, then sarcastically adds, "But I see you have more important things on your mind!" before storming out. Krystle is in her attic prison, reading Danielle Steel's Full Circle to pass the time. It's nice that she's been provided with the classics in order to pass the time. George Hamilton enters the room, announces that they're leaving for South America today, and orders her to start packing. When Krystle's all, "Wuh?", he barks at her to save her questions and start filling her suitcase. George Hamilton finds Sammy Jo waiting for him in the main Delta Rho house. She smugly informs him that Blake is going to live, then asks what he plans to do now...and he shrugs unconcernedly and says that since older men suffer heart issues all the time, no one will ever suspect he was deliberately poisoned. When she asks what he'll do if the authorities do find out, he glares at her with his cold dead eyes and asks her how that would ever happen. Sammy Jo looks freaked out by the pure evil radiating from him and meekly assures him she won't tell anyone, and he's like, "See? There's nothing to worry about." Sammy Jo races back to Carrington manor to hurriedly pack her things...and when Danny scampers into the room and asks what she's doing, she tells the tot she has to go away for a very long time, and that he should always remember she loves him more than anyone. She then gives him a teary hug while telling him he's the only good thing that's ever happened to her. In the next scene, she's sitting at the bottom of the staircase, surrounded by her packed bags and waiting for an airport cab when she has a series of flashbacks of Krystle's kindness to her over the years...and when Gerard tells her her taxi is here, she just stares blankly into space. In Tulsa, Claudia is handed a letter that serves as proof that Adam, on behalf of Denver Carrington, flatly refused to consider her claim of ownership of the Blaisdel-Lankershim oil well. She phones Adam to call him out on his deception, and he reminds her once again that he currently has power of attorney at Denver Carrington and can transfer ownership of the well to her that way. He then urges her to come home, but she snappishly retorts that she has zero desire to be his "little wife" and that she's intent on reclaiming what belongs to her. The proper legal way, I guess. Prince Michael follows Amanda to the hospital's waiting room to explain that his/Elena's hug wasn't what it looked like - but Amanda dismissively says she doesn't want an explanation and, at the moment, only cares about her father's health. Prince Michael insists that what she saw between him and Elena was a mistake, and she retorts, "The only mistake was marrying you!" and storms out of the room. George Hamilton pays a visit to one of his shady associates to ask about getting fake passports, and the guy tells him he can do it today, but that it'll cost him a lot of dough. George Hamilton mulls that over and agrees to pay extra, then barks at the guy to hurry it up. Rita/Krystle is sitting at Blake's bedside when he regains consciousness and finds his faux wife grinning stupidly at him. He flashes back to when she refused to help him before his stunt double tumbled down the staircase, then glares at her and growls, "You're not Krystle." Rita/Krystle looks alarmed by the truthful statement and murmurs, "You don't know what you're saying", and he says she looks exactly like his wife, but very clearly isn't. He cries, "Where is she?!" and cries out for Steven...and Rita/Krystle gets so wigged out that she flees the room. Rita races over to Delta Rho...and when she can't find George Hamilton in the main house, she heads up to Krystle's attic prison. Krystle stares at her in bewilderment and snarls, "You..?" ... and then the two quickly step aside so that a couple of stunt doubles wearing disheveled looking blonde wigs can knock each other down and wrestle around on the floor for what seems like a really looooong time. Sammy Jo appears in the doorway and cries, "Auntie Krystle!", and when Krystle's all, "Wuh?", Sammy Jo yells, "Look out!" to alert her that Rita is about to strike her from behind with a chair. Krystle manages to deflect the attack, and Sammy Jo disables Rita by hitting her with a large suitcase, then urges Krystle to flee the attic with her. When they fling open the outside door, they come face to face with George Hamilton, who stares at them all sinister-like and asks, "Going somewhere, Sammy Jo?" ... and Sammy Jo and Krystle stare back at him in fearful horror. For a show about furs, jewelry and limousines, these were pretty awful wigs. 😂

This whole subplot was pretty awful but the fight between the two Kystles was pretty funny (as ridiculous as it was)
