Recap: Krystle is cuddling Danny in the nursery when Blake enters the room, smiles goofily at the two of them, and announces that he's flying to Singapore in the morning. Krystle says she'd like to go with him and bring Danny along, but Blake vetoes that and says it's too far of a trip for an infant - plus they don't know for sure that this "Ben Reynolds" is really Steven. Krystle says she knows in her heart that it's Steven and doesn't get why Blake can't believe in this awesome miracle. Blake explains that he doesn't want to risk opening himself up to the inevitable heartache he'll have to experience if the man turns out not to be Steven. He then urges Krystle to come to bed and coos in his gravelly voice, "I need you tonight. More than I've ever needed you before." Ewwwww. At the Immaculate Heart Hospital in Singapore, Steven is outside, practicing his hand/eye coordination by playing catch with the nun nurse. She asks him why he's such a mopey drip all the time, so Steven explains that Dr. Chin bums him out 'cause he's constantly asking probing questions and implying that he's hiding something from his past...which, of course, he's totally doing - so, d'yuh. The nun nurse tells him that Dr. Chin cares for him beyond the surgical reconstruction he did to his face...and Steven loses interest in the conversation and glances around and happens to notice Dan Cassidy through a second floor window. Steven looks troubled by his presence in Singapore. Fallon pleads with Blake to take her along to Singapore and points out that Steven may not want to return to Denver if it means sitting on a plane with his douchebag father and no buffers. Blake vetoes that, reiterates that the mystery man in Singapore may not even be Steven, then kisses everyone goodbye and heads off to the airport. Fallon tells Krystle she feels bad that Steven's homecoming will mean that she probably won't be able to adopt Danny after all, but Krystle says that Steven's miraculous return from the dead means a lot more than having a baby to care for, and the two hug. I guess they're still besties. Blake arrives at a private airstrip and is told by the pilot that the plane will take off in fifteen minutes. Another car suddenly arrives, and when the passenger door opens, Alexis steps out wearing a luxuriously fluffy fur coat and a matching hat. She tells Blake she wants to accompany him to Singapore, but he's like, "No way in hell" and says it's taking every ounce of his self control to not wring her neck for what she's done to Jeff. She denies doing anything to Jeff, then says she's here to give him a warning...a strong warning: if Steven is alive, he's going to regret poisoning his mind against her. That sounds more like a general statement than a warning. She then tells him she has a list of the Denver-Carrington board members he conveniently made disappear, and vows to find them and successfully merge their two companies. (Maybe that was the warning.) Blake growls, "Don't count on a damn thing!" then greets Congressman Neil McVane, who has suddenly arrived at the airstrip for a quick one-on-one with Blake. Blake tells McVane about his delaying tactic by having Andrew urge the board members to get out of town, then orders him to contact "the right people in Washington" to convince the SEC to hold off on a merger between Denver-Carrington and ColbyCo. He also says he wants to mount a "court trial" against Alexis, and I'm not exactly sure what that's supposed to mean. McVane says it'll be difficult, but Blake barks, "Get it done!" and the chastened congressman nods and obediently says, "I understand." As the two shake hands, Blake stares smugly over at Alexis, then boards the plane. McVane ambles over to Alexis, who sneeringly says it's obvious that Blake has just asked for his help with something, then advises him not to do anything for that "lame horse". McVane says he has no desire to get caught between her and Blake, and Alexis just chuckles and tells him he should want to be on the winning side. McVane declines to do her bidding, whatever it may be, and she gets irked and calls him "a fool and a fraud" and that "it's enough!" that he's let her down twice now. She flounces back to her car and orders the driver to take her to ColbyCo. Alexis storms into her office at ColbyCo, snatches the phone receiver and calls Morgan Hess, her private investigator. She tells him she has a new job for him: dig up as much dirt on Neil McVane as he possibly can. She adds that he's running for reelection, and she wants to do everything possible to cause him to lose his congressional seat. Jeff is in the dining room of Carrington manor, eating breakfast and reading the paper. Fallon enters the room and asks him how he's feeling, then says he's probably itching to know what in the hell poisoned him and turned him into a raving lunatic. Jeff just kind of shrugs and says it's over, and that he doesn't think anyone will ever be able to figure it out. It's funny that he's not even slightly curious about what could have distorted his personality so drastically for all those weeks. Fallon says she'd like to make nice and be friends again, and assures him she likes having him at Carrington manor, close to their son. Jeff thanks her and apologizes for almost strangling her at the La Mirage, but she's just like, "Meh. You were really sick then - but it's all in the past now." Over at ColbyCo, Alexis bitches at Adam for failing to locate the missing Denver-Carrington board members. She snaps, "Where's Sam Dexter?!" and Adam says he's somewhere in the Bahamas, and he's got people trying to determine the exact location of his yacht. He promises to locate the rest of the board members soon, and Alexis grins and says it'll be a great homecoming gift for Blake when he returns with her son. Adam gives her a forlorn what about me? look so she hastily says, "My other son." Adam remarks that she seems certain the mystery man in Singapore is Steven, and she says that something in her heart tells her it is - the same way she knew that he (Adam) was her long-lost son in The Siblings episode. She gushes about how thrilled she is that both of her sons will soon be back in her life, and that they'll have a powerful new empire to share. Adam looks less than thrilled at the idea of sharing anything and says, "From what I understand, Steven has no interest in the executive side of business." Alexis explains that Steven just didn't want to work with Blake, then says he's sensitive and decent and has a great capacity for love and people, which Adam snidely interprets as code for homosexual. Suddenly, Jeff barges into the office, glances around, and remarks that it's been redecorated and that he hates the color...which is crazy talk 'cause it's a much more calming neutral than the ghastly toxic-blue that Adam selected for him. Alexis asks him whassup with him being out and about so soon after getting released from the hospital, and Jeff says he wants to fix the mistake he made when he signed over all those shares of Denver-Carrington and ColbyCo to her. He demands them back, but Alexis tells him that it was all part of a lofty plan to merge the two companies, and it's already in the works. She says the result will be one big formidable company and cockily adds, "We're going to rule the roost. Be kings of the heap." When Jeff wryly asks, "And dethrone Blake?" Alexis admits that, yeah, that's what she wants most of all. She then tells Jeff that Adam is working on a deal to bring in millions from a Middle East oil deal, and Adam concurs and says he's been working on it for weeks, and that he and Kirby are attending a conference in Colorado Springs to flesh out the details. Jeff scrunches his face concernedly and asks him what Kirby has to do with any of this, so Adam explains that the people they're dealing with only speak French (which is odd considering it's a Middle East deal), and he needs her to translate. Jeff tries to talk Kirby out of going to Colorado Springs with Adam, who he calls "a shark, a killer". She says she appreciates his concern, but that she promised to translate for ColbyCo just this one time. She tells him that Adam is picking her up shortly, and that she'll be home sometime tonight. She then thanks him for caring, and he says, "I do. A lot" and the two smooch. Krystle is feeding Danny in the mansion's solarium when Mark arrives to drop off their divorce papers. He says he's happy for her that she finally has a baby, but Krystle says he may not be hers for much longer, then quickly changes the subject and tells him she witnessed him and Fallon smooching in the vestibule of the mansion when they returned from Haiti. She warns him not to do anything to hurt Fallon, who's unaware of how big a douchebag he can be. Haha! Steven packs up his stuff amid the protests of the nun nurse. He insists on leaving the hospital, and is about to exit the room when Dr. Chin appears and goes, "What's the rush?" Steven says he owes the hospital a lot of money, and wants to find work at an oil company, like pronto, so he can begin to repay that debt. Dr. Chin urges him to stay, then explains that if he leaves he'd be jeopardizing his position at the hospital 'cause his superior in Hong Kong, Dr. Lu, has yet to review the facial reconstruction he performed on him. (I'm no medical expert, but it looks like he did a fantastic job!) He urges Steven to stay until morning, and Steven mopishly mulls that over. While Blake is en route to Singapore, he has a flashback of when Steven yelled at the family, confessed that he was homosexual, and threatened to break an expensive vase. For some bizarre reason, the scene was re-shot with Jack Coleman (even though all we see is the back of his head) - which is so totally nonsensical, since the whole point of the facial reconstruction storyline is to explain why "Season 3 Steven" looks like a totally different person than "Seasons 1-2 Steven". Alexis is visiting with Fallon in her office at the La Mirage, and they're enjoying snacks and martinis and discussing Steven's imminent return. Mark suddenly enters the office and looks startled to see Alexis sitting there. He politely says, "Well hello, Mrs. Colby" and she chuckles at his formality and tells him to call her Alexis. Mark tells Fallon, who's grinning at him all smittenly, that he'll talk to her later, then beats a hasty retreat. Alexis asks Fallon if Mark's interruptions always make her smile like that, and Fallon tells her how grateful she is to her for getting Mark to come to Denver - even though her motive at the time was purely to hurt Krystle. Nevertheless, what she unwittingly did was bring a friend into her life. A peeved Alexis asks her to elaborate on this friendship, so Fallon tells her that Mark followed her to Haiti and was a real pal when she needed one. Alexis looks irked and grunts, "Sweet" then says she doesn't think it would be wise for her to have a thing with a tennis pro. Fallon denies having a thing, and says that Mark is just a nice guy with whom she's been having nice talks. She then heads out to check on a room that's just been renovated, and Alexis picks up the phone and tries to track down Mark...and looks miffed when she learns he already left the hotel. No doubt he fled as fast as he could. Jeff is in the nursery, hanging out with Baby Blake and telling him how much he misses Kirby. Krystle enters the room to check up on Danny, and the two gabble about first love, recovery, and loving more than one person in a lifetime. Krystle asks him if he's found a new love, but Jeff remains mum, calls her very wise, and gives her a cheek kiss. Adam is driving himself and a snoozing Kirby back to Denver after the Colorado Springs meeting. He notices the sign for the Deseret Motel, gets an awful idea in his head, and abruptly pulls into the motel's parking lot. While he heads over to the office to book a couple of rooms, Kirby wakes up and glances around in confusion. Adam returns and tells her the car suddenly broke down - but luckily he was able to coast it into this motel parking lot. He then tells her that all the garages are closed, and there's no car rental place anywhere nearby. Kirby says she should call the mansion, but Steven quickly says he already did. He then tells her he booked two rooms and dangles the keys in front of her. Kirby covertly calls Carrington manor, tells Jeff which motel she's at, then pleads, "I need you, I really need you!" and instead of immediately jumping into action, Jeff stares concernedly into space. Steven is glumly laying in his hospital bed, then abruptly gets up and makes a phone call. He quickly learns that Dr. Lu is not due to visit the Immaculate Heart Hospital until next week, then suspiciously stares into space. Jeff is in his car, on his way to the Deseret Motel. He presses his foot on the gas pedal to make it clear to viewers that he's increasing his speed...and then the camera pans over to the speedometer, in case anyone missed the news flash that he's driving very fast. Adam and Kirby are in Kirby's motel room, sharing a pizza and drinking red wine. Adam, who's guzzling the wine and looking tipsy, is babbling about how he and Kirby are downstairs people trying to live among the upstairs people. He pins her against the chair she's sitting on, leers at her, and caresses her face...while she looks icked out by his aggressive drunkenness and tells him she's tired and wants to go to bed. Adam shakes his head and refuses to leave. Jeff is still on his way to the motel, his foot firmly on the gas pedal. Thanks for that progress report, writers. Steven finishes off the wine and aggressively hugs Kirby from behind. She yells at him to stop manhandling her, so he snarls, "I'm wearying of your attitude! Sick of it, in fact. Angered by it" so she's like, "What the hell is the matter with you?" and he barks, "Should I retire for the night?" then answers his own question by snapping, "No! I'm not going anywhere after pouring my heart out to you!" He babbles about how alike they are and belong together, then delivers this vitriolic gem: "But instead of trying to understand me, you're playing some sort of stupid game. The hard to get special. This doesn't exactly suit the girl I once knew very well - the night she wasn't all that hard to get!" He forcibly kisses her as she yells, "Stop it!" Adam is definitely one fucked up individual. Jeff arrives at the motel and hears Kirby yelling, "Adam! Stop it! Get your hands off of me!" so he rushes over to the room and pounds on the door. Adam answers the door and sneers with brazen disgust as he says, "The ice man cometh. To rescue his shivering ice queen." He snarls at Kirby for calling the mansion and telling Jeff to come save her, bitchily snaps, "Someone has to look after the dirty diapers!" then storms out. Fuck he's weird. Jeff comforts Kirby, who tearfully admits she shouldn't have gone with Adam, then wonders aloud why men always assume she's an easy lay. Jeff says he doesn't think that and calls her "beautiful, loving, and giving". He then tells her to stop crying 'cause he's about to propose! And what better time is there to propose marriage than seconds after a woman has just endured an attempted sexual assault by a serial rapist. Kirby stares at Jeff in shock, and the two start smooching. When Blake arrives at the Immaculate Heart Hospital, Dr. Chin quickly ushers him to where Dan Cassidy has been waiting. As the three head over to Steven's room, Cassidy tells Blake he's not entirely sure if mystery man is his son, since his face has been altered by surgery...however, he does know that Ben Reynolds was a brunette, which is weird 'cause the mystery man is a blonde. Blake exclaims, "My son is blonde!" (Yep - that's kind of why he brought it up, Blake.) When they enter the room they find it empty, and Dr. Chin notices that all of Steven's/Ben's belongings are gone. He immediately gets on the horn with security and orders the guards to prevent any blonde men carrying suitcases from leaving the hospital grounds. LOL. Steven is stopped at the gate, then hobbles over to where Cassidy is standing. He's startled to see that the man he's talking to is Blake, who was momentarily hidden behind a wall. As the two face each other, Blake peers into his eyes to determine if this stranger really his long lost son - and so we get really close close-ups of Steven's face, which get progressively closer. After much close scrutinizing, Blake gasps and says, "Steven? My God! It is you!" and envelopes him an awkward hug. He says he never believed in miracles - but that this definitely qualifies as a miracle. Steven looks icked out by being in his father's presence and glumly asks him why he didn't just accept him as dead. Blake's all, "Wuh? I couldn't" then says he wants him to come home, as does the rest of the family. Steven reminds him that he broke with the Carringtons because he didn't want to be part of that shitty family anymore, then starts to hobble off with his cane. Blake bellows, "Can you walk out on your own child?!" and Steven stops and is all, "Wha-a?!" Blake nods and informs him that he has an infant son, and Steven stares contemplatively into space. Adam Carrington (and this actor who played him), reminds me a lot of Lawrence Alamain played by Michael Sabatino in DAYS OF OUR LIVES. Same arrogant way of talking, same creepy, stalk like approach when chasing after Kirby.

I think they re-shot the Steven in the study scene to reset the viewer’s expectation if Steven’s height. Jack Coleman seems at least 3 inches taller than Al Corley was, hard to explain that from an explosion haha
