Recap: At Police Headquarters, Phoenix Chisolm angrily insists to Sergeant Zorelli and Rudy that her grandfather did not kill himself (as they've been theorizing) - but that he was murdered...and cites as evidence that he never once opened the living room window he supposedly leaped out of. When Blake arrives at headquarters, Phoenix lunges at him, shriekily accusing him of murdering her grandfather, and Blake's all, "Say wuh?" and tells Captain Handler he has no idea why she's accusing him of murder and/or why he was just summoned to headquarters. The captain ushers him (and Adam who was already there with Phoenix) into his office, and Adam informs Blake that Elsworth Chisolm is dead, possibly due to suicide. The captain asks Blake where he was between 8pm-10pm this evening, and Adam quickly interjects and advises Blake to say nothing. Captain Handler happily drops his line of questioning and tells Blake he's free to leave. While walking across the Police Headquarters parking lot, Blake accuses Adam of setting him up when he passed along Elsworth's address and [idiotically] encouraged him to confront his accuser. Adam haughtily points out that, if he had wanted to set him up, he could have told police that he witnessed him leaving Elsworth's building moments before the old man was found dead - but Blake just growls, "Get out of my sight before I kill you", and shoves him out of the way. For someone who's so frequently accused of murder, Blake really should refrain from publicly threatening to commit murder as often as he does. Sergeant Zorelli tells the captain he highly doubts that Blake murdered Elsworth Chisolm, even if he refused to answer their questions on the advice of his attorney. Captain Handler orders Zorelli to dust off the Carrington lake property/Roger Grimes files so that they can delve deeper into a case he has no choice but to re-activate. Dex and Jeff drive to a remote area of the lake property, then get out of the car and study a map. Jeff theorizes that maybe Roger Grimes moved "the collection" to a place he could more easily access, while Dex wonders if Tom Carrington really did murder the poor man. When they see a car approaching the property, Dex suggests they high-tail it outa there...and when the camera pans across the lake, we see that Fallon and Sergeant Zorelli are in the car. Fallon gigglingly asks Zorelli if he brought her here to go skinny-dipping, and he's like, "Er, no" and says, to the contrary, he wants to rehash yet again any minutiae of detail she can remember about being at the lake when she was a child to see if it's at all pertinent to shedding light on who may have murdered Roger Grimes. Sable arrives at the art gallery where Alexis's Friedrich Stahl painting is being evaluated. She meets with the appraiser, Edward Prusky (who speaks with a distinct German accent), to marvel about the first Friedrich Stahl painting that has resurfaced since WWII ended. Sable tells Edward that Alexis sent the painting here by mistake, and that it's part of a very private collection [of looted Nazi treasure]. She asks Edward if he wouldn't mind being OK with returning the painting to Alexis and telling her it holds very little value...and he says he's totes OK with that, as long as he can be part of the re-distribution of other stolen artwork. Sable's like, "Deal!" ... and when he tells her that some rando had recently called his gallery to inquire about the Stahl painting, she asks him to please let her know if that person happens to call again. Sable makes a beeline over to Denver Carrington to inform Blake about her meeting with Edward Prusky, and how weird it is that he recently got a call about the Stahl painting. Blake is all, "Yeah, whatever" and says he continues to be distracted by how depressed he is over his divorce from Krystle. Sable points out that the divorce is in name only, and that if Krystle were to one day awaken from her coma, their love for each other would be all that counts. Blake mulls that over and agrees, and then he and Sable arrange to meet up for dinner later. Blake is surprised to find Charles and Jane Matthews waiting for him in his reception area, and warmly greets them and invites them into his office. Charles hands him a box filled with things that belonged to Tom Carrington, and explains that a Sergeant Zorelli came to see him and asked questions about Tom, Laura, and their daughter Dominique. As Blake stares back at him in miffed bewilderment, Charles informs him that Tom had written a confession of some kind - but he didn't find it in the box. After the commercial break, Charles and Jane promise to keep looking around their house for more of Tom's stuff and/or confession letters, and Blake tells him to keep him posted if Sergeant Zorelli happens to drop by their house again. After the two exit his office, Blake leaves a message for Fallon that he needs to speak to her asap. Back at the lake, Sergeant Zorelli urges Fallon for the umpteenth time to remember any tidbit about her grandfather she hasn't yet shared with him, so she tells him that when she was around five years old, she used to hear strange ghost noises in the mansion and then see her grandfather looming in the doorway of her bedroom. When Zorelli asks her if she ever came to the lake property with either her father or grandfather, she decides she's no longer interested in beating this horse to death and tries to engage him in a smoochfest. Zorelli tries to re-direct her attention back to the subject of her father/grandfather, but then indulges her carnal desires as the two start to go at it. When the camera pans out, we see that someone is watching them from a distance. Over at Delta Rho, Sammy Jo, who has gotten her hair cut in a shorter, less flattering bob 'do, is working with her horses when Tanner (ughhhhh) rides over on his motorcycle. He tells her he still feels bad about not telling her he's a priest, then invites her to ride with him so he can show her something. She's like 'sure, why the hell not?' and climbs atop the back of his motorcycle. In the Carlton Hotel's patio restaurant, Dex and Jeff agree that it'd be a good idea to join forces on some type of project once the endless Lake/Roger Grimes Mystery plot line has been resolved...and after Dex wanders off, Monica arrives and seats herself beside Jeff. Adam, who's standing across the room, stares at Monica and Jeff from across the patio and looks hopelessly intrigued when the two start getting weirdly touchy-feely with each other, despite them being half-siblings. Adam asks a photographer, who just happens to be in the restaurant at that moment, to photograph the amorous looking couple. Jeff asks Monica whassup between Dex and Sable, and so she responds by leaning in close and gazing at him hungrily while tenderly touching his face (in a distinctly non-sisterly fashion). She tells him she prolly shouldn't share any intimate details about her mom and Dex, and Jeff raises his furry eyebrows and says he's surprised to hear that Dex and Sable even have intimate details to share. Monica's like, "Psych! I was just joking!" and Jeff reacts by grabbing her head playfully...and from across the patio, the photographer is snapping several photos of the two before handing over the roll of film to Adam. Tanner takes Sammy Jo to a cemetery, where his older brother Arnold is buried. He explains that he and his brother grew up in an orphanage, and that Arnold was a wild kid, who wanted to experience a highly sinful life. To that end, Arnold ran away from the orphanage when he was sixteen, and then died two years later...but before his untimely death he had urged Tanner do something meaningful with his life. Tanner decided to become a priest so that he could help people - but has been having lingering doubts about whether he really really wants to be celibate and do good deeds 24/7. He tells Sammy Jo that when he met her he didn't want her to know he was a priest, and she responds by mutely clasping his hand. Blake is practicing his tennis stroke when Fallon appears on the court and gives him a hello hug. He tells her that Charles and Jane Matthews paid him a visit after Sergeant Zorelli had dropped in on them to ask questions about Tom Carrington et. al., and Fallon contorts her face into a shocked expression and says that Zorelli had sworn to her that he was off the case. When Blake asks her how Zorelli would have known about Charles and Jane, she sheepishly admits that she may have opened her big yap and let it slip while she was at Casa Pasta the other day, then stares concernedly into space while moaning, "Oh God...what have I done?" Captain Handler informs Sergeant Zorelli that he's back on the Roger Grimes murder case, now that an eyewitness came forward...and was then subsequently murdered himself. The captain says he's suddenly under a lot of pressure to solve all of this crime-ing, and that a lot of evidence points to Blake Carrington being the culprit. He orders Zorelli to update all of the files and find out, for the love of all that is holy, who killed Roger Grimes...and, for good measure, Elsworth Chisolm. Fallon pulls into the Police Headquarters parking lot to yell at Sergeant Zorelli for using her to get information about Charles Matthews. Zorelli says he's only doing this to get at the root of her nightmares...and when he admits that, yep, he's now back on the Roger Grimes murder case, she shoots him the stink-eye and squeals off. Over at Carrington manor, Jeff tells Dex he's pretty sure that Sable has her eye on Blake, and is doing her best to take Krystle's place. Dex disagrees, points out that Krystle isn't actually dead, and believes that Sable just thinks of Blake as a platonic buddy. Jeff insists that Sable "will soon get her claws wrapped around his heart", and then the two enter the study. Blake greets them and says that Sable will be here shortly, explaining that she's currently putting Kristina to bed...which prompts Jeff to glance over at Dex with a smug 'see?' type look. Sable is tucking in Kristina, who's nattering about her imaginary friend Ginny, who gives her comfort whenever she feels lonely and sad about her mom being comatose. Kristina natters that Krystle had fully accepted the existence of Ginny, while Blake has been less indulgent. Sable assures the tot that she takes the existence of Ginny seriously and promises to work on getting Blake on board. Back in the study, Blake shows Jeff and Dex the box o' Tom Carrington's stuff that he just got from Charles Matthews. Blake remarks that while Tom was a colossal shitbag, he's starting to have doubts about whether he really did murder Roger Grimes. Dex browses through the box and finds a map that indicates the presence of tunnels beneath Carrington manor, and Blake perks up at that and says that Elsworth Chisholm had mentioned digging tunnels when they spoke during the previous episode. Dex says he has specialized equipment that can detect hollowness behind walls, which could help them locate a tunnel...and Sable says that since she has to get going now, she'd be happy to offer him a lift to his place. At a downtown bar, Sergeant Zorelli tells Rudy that he's never considered himself a dirty cop - but has been doing somewhat unethical favors for Fallon that he never imagined he'd do. Rudy wankingly assures him that he's a good cop, and says he's behind him all the way in the department's quest to solve the Roger Grimes murder. Rudy energetically bleats, "Let's go get him!" - but Zorelli looks bummed about the idea of betraying the woman he loves. While en route to Casa Dex, Dex blabs to Sable about how Jeff thinks she has a romantic interest in Blake, and Sable insists that nothing could be further from the truth. She amusedly asks Dex if he got jealous when he heard that accusation, and Dex assures her he isn't at all jealous...not least 'cause he has his hands full, dealing with Alexis's craziness. He then informs Sable that Alexis now believes that the two of them have conspired to ruin her company (via the lawsuit), and Sable chucklingly says she'll happily refuse to share the credit for destroying her cousin, and urges Dex to "get away from that witch who has cast a spell on you." Dex chews on that good advice for a few seconds and agrees that she may be right. Back at the mansion, Blake tells Jeff that Sable just reported to him that some mysterious rando called the art appraiser who Alexis commissioned to evaluate her Friedrich Stahl painting. When Jeff asks why anyone would do that, Blake solemnly replies, "Because somebody else is after that collection." Adam arrives at the Chisolm apartment to check on Phoenix, and is shocked to find her standing in the middle of the living room, pointing a rifle at him and railing at him for not protecting her grandfather. Adam closes the door, turns on the light, and shows her the flowers and takeout food he brought along, calmly explaining that he came by to make sure she was OK. In the basement of Carrington manor, Blake and Jeff are using Dex's wall scanner thingy to see if it can detect any hollowness. Eventually they tap onto part of the wall that elicits a positive result from Dex's electronic hollow wall gauge reader, which strongly suggests that there's a tunnel on the other side. Hurray! Phoenix tells Adam she suspects Blake of killing her grandfather, and Adam fibs that Blake was nowhere near the apartment when Elsworth met his untimely death, and that it wouldn't have been in his interest to end the old man's life. Phoenix wildly suggests that maybe he (meaning Adam) arranged to have her grandfather murdered, accusing him of "playing both sides against the middle" in his recent efforts to appease both Alexis and Blake. She then brings up the topic of the Carrington tunnels, which confuses Adam, and wonders aloud if she should tell police - but Adam warns that her grandfather ended up dead soon after giving a police statement. He then calms her down long enough to gently disarm her...and as she starts to sob, he cooingly promises to protect her. One of the maidservants tells Fallon that Sergeant Zorelli has passed through the gate and will be at the mansion in a few short minutes. In the basement, Blake, Jeff, and Dex are hammering through the brick wall and soon find a tunnel on the other side. They shine a flashlight through the hole. Sergeant Zorelli tells a bewildered Fallon that he's here on official police business, and needs to question Blake. Meanwhile, Blake, Jeff, and Dex spot a human skeleton on the floor of the tunnel, prompting Blake to moan, "Oh God.." Oh God indeed. Thanks for reading!
