Recap: Sammy Jo races over to Delta Rho to confront George Hamilton about the "medicine" she suspects that he and Rita have been slipping to Blake. George Hamilton pretends to know nothing 'bout that, condescendingly chides her for her "limited imagination", and tries to forcibly usher her out of the room. She shoves him away, then gets all in his face as she accuses him of screwing with her plan to withdraw her inheritance money. She reminds him that no one was supposed to get hurt and points out that Krystle was physically knocked out and that Blake is suddenly deathly ill. George Hamilton deflects from that by telling her that the three of them have been under a huge amount of stress while carrying out this ridiculous doppelgänger scheme, and urges her to not let fear be the thing that makes them to turn on each other. Sammy Jo says she knows he's been conning her, and that she's going to find out exactly what kind of dark shit has been going on, then storms out of the room clutching the bottle of "medicine". George Hamilton enters the attic with a camera and, without explanation, starts snapping photos of Krystle. When she asks what in blazes he's doing, he tells her he needs her photo for a phony passport, which she'll need for when they flee to South America. He then stares dreamily into space and says that soon they'll be laying side-by-side on the beach together, soaking up the sun...and as Krystle stares despondently into space, he barks at her to smile pretty and snaps more photos. Rita/Krystle enters Blake's bedroom as he's getting dressed. She asks him why he's not in bed, so he says he has too many things to do for the pipeline project. She motions over at the tray of food she'd brought to him earlier and remarks that he didn't touch any of it, and he snappishly tells her he's not hungry and makes it clear that he's still miffed about her horror at the prospect of ever hitting the sheets with him. Rita/Krystle insists she's trying and fibs that she made an appointment with a [non-existent] psychiatrist named Dr. Richard Cole. Blake says he's never heard of him and asks who recommended him, and she gets irked and says it's obvious he doesn't believe her...and he's like, "No duh" and says it's going to take a lot of time and effort for her to regain his trust. Caress Morell is at the Denver Post file library, requesting every article that's ever been written about Alexis. The researcher behind the desk beams and says he's so intrigued by Alexis Morell Carrington Colby Dexter that he took time out of his life to be a courtroom spectator when she testified against Blake during the Ted Dinard manslaughter trial, and even recalls the ridiculous veiled hat/business suit ensemble she wore while on the witness stand. He then gives Caress a once over and says she looks a lot like Alexis, and Caress slyly says she's been told that many times before. King Galen and Prince Michael are having breakfast in the penthouse and discussing how they plan to punish the revolutionary traitors once they regain the Moldavian throne. Alexis stops by the suite with the banking agreement she and Galen discussed and tells them they both need to sign it...and Galen quickly signs it and assures a skeptical looking Prince Michael that the contract is on the up and up. After Alexis rushes off to work, Prince Michael asks his father how he can promise something he's not sure he can deliver, and Galen shrugs and says that while Alexis is shrewd, he's even more shrewd and has zero concerns about possibly (likely) breaking his absurd promise to put Alexis in charge of Moldavia's entire banking system. Sammy Jo heads to the nearest chemical lab and tells the technician she needs an analysis of exactly what's in Blake's "medicine" bottle. The technician tells her they're very busy and that it could take up to a week, and Sammy Jo snaps, "Forget busy, this is an emergency!" and pulls out her check book and says she's more than willing to bribe him to put her request at the top of his to do list. Over at Denver Carrington, Blake is meeting with Adam and Dominique about the pipeline project...but he looks visibly faint, his vision is blurry (as evidenced by the camera zooming in on his paperwork and then unfocusing to give off the blurry effect), and he keeps losing his train of thought. Dominique says it's obvious he's under the weather and offers to take on the work of the next planning stage, and Blake agrees that she and Adam can take over the reins of this project until he's feeling better. Adam does little to hide his glee at Blake's physical deterioration and says he'll do everything possible to help move the pipeline project forward. Adam asks his secretary to fetch a blank Power of Attorney form and let him worry about filling in the appropriate names. Alexis bursts into Blake's office in anticipation of discussing the pipeline project with him and is startled to find a smug looking Dominique sitting in his chair. Dominique informs Alexis that Blake went home sick and that she's going to have to deal with her, then stares dreamily into space as she murmurs, "What a lovely fantasy. What a lovely truth." Alexis rolls her eyes and reminds her that she owns 25% of the South China Sea oil leases, and Dominique sassily shoots back that Denver Carrington owns 75%, half of which she owns. Alexis grumbles at her to stop being so petty and suggests they work together on the pipeline project until Blake is feeling better, to which Dominique chuckles and says, "Absolutely not." Alexis derisively says that as a lounge singer she has zero knowledge of the oil industry, then warns that she'll be looming over her shoulder...and Dominque shrugs unconcernedly and dramatically retorts, "I'm used to working with a knife in my back." Over at ColbyCo, Adam tells Alexis that it looks like Blake has the flu - but she argues that it's prolly a lot more serious than the flu, and the two agree that Blake should be removed as head of the pipeline deal asap. Adam assures his mother she needn't worry about Dominique 'cause he plans to push her aside, then smugly declares, "Dominique may be in Blake's chair, but I'm running the show." Blake is napping on a chair in his bedroom when Adam arrives and tells him he has some everyday, mundane business papers for him to sign. Blake's vision gets blurry again so he doesn't notice that it's a Power of Attorney form, and just meekly signs his name where Adam tells him to. Adam grins and says, "Thank you. This will do nicely." Dominique summons Jonathan Lake to Denver Carrington to admonish him for the deposition he wrote up, which detailed the pipeline's potentially disastrous effects on the environment. She says it's full of inaccuracies and that it's been fed to the media as facts and demands a full retraction - but Jonathan insists they are facts, and that he'd rather talk about how much he adores her. Dominique shoots him a stony glare and says she's not interested in pursuing a dull-as-fuck romance with him and would prefer to get down to business. Adam calls Claudia in her Tulsa hotel room to coo about how much he misses her and wants her to come home. She tells him she can't 'cause she's still trying to regain title to the Blaisdel/Lankershim oil well...and Adam says there's no need for that, then explains that since he just got Blake to unwittingly sign a Power of Attorney form he can transfer ownership of the well back to her. Claudia says she's not convinced he can really do that, and Adam interprets that to mean she's calling him a liar and angrily slams the phone down...which seemed like a strange overreaction, but OK. Dex is looking over the list of expenses that King Galen has incurred while convalescing at the penthouse and scornfully remarks to Alexis that she's haemorrhaging money with the king's ongoing spending spree. Alexis says she authorized the expenses, which she insists are legitimate - but Dex just shakes his head and says that, money-wise, Moldavia is turning out to be a black hole. Alexis reminds him that he had promised to not fight with her about this anymore, and he ignores that and warns that if she continues down this path she's going to run her company and finances into the ground 'cause clearly there's no limit to how much of her cash King Galen is willing to spend. Alexis snaps at him to stop undermining her banking deal with Galen and her ability to manage her own cash, then says these days she's more focused on how to remove Blake from the pipeline project. When Dex just stares back at her and is all, "Wha-a-a-a?", she smugly says she's plotting to put herself in charge of the entire deal. Caress is seated at the La Mirage bar, chatting with the bartender who tells her that, yep, he sees Alexis come into the resort from time to time. Caress asks him if it's really true that Alexis married Cecil on his deathbed, and he grins and nods. Caress mulls that over for a few seconds and says that Alexis's deathbed marriage and her testimony during the Ted Dinard trial is somehow leading her to the bizarre conclusion that Alexis must be into necrophilia, then stares contemplatively into space while munching on a bowl of nuts. LOL. Rita drops by Delta Rho to complain to George Hamilton that ever since Sammy Jo found Blake's "medicine", she's been glaring at her suspiciously. George Hamilton tells her to not worry 'bout that, then reminds her that poisoning Blake is her passport to stardom and that she's about to play the greatest role that has ever come her way: grieving widow. He hands her a fresh bottle of poison and instructs her to slip it to Blake and wait 'til dawn for it to take effect...and once the old goat keels over, she should wait at least ten minutes before calling an ambulance in a convincingly shrieky, panicked manner. George Hamilton undresses Rita as he talks, and assures her that this idiotic doppelgänger storyline has almost reached its conclusion - but Rita stares concernedly into space and says she's really worried they're about to get caught. George Hamilton assures her they won't, and that by this time tomorrow, Blake will have kicked the bucket. While dining in the La Mirage dining room, Amanda expresses her annoyance to Prince Michael that Duchess Elena is in town and keeps calling him. Prince Michael explains that he and the duchess have joined forces to help King Galen regain the Moldavian throne, and Amanda's like, "I don't care. Keep the woman out of my sight" - just as Elena enters the dining room decked out in a strapless, boob-constricting pink evening gown. She heads over to their table and wanks them about being the most attractive couple in the restaurant, and Prince Michael ignores Amanda's 'keep the woman out of my sight' edict and invites Elena to join them for dinner. Elena informs Prince Michael that their key contact in Moldavia has just been captured, and Amanda rolls her eyes and snappishly tells her that she and her husband were trying to enjoy a nice dinner and that she'd appreciate it if they could discuss their counter-revolutionary efforts in the morning. Elena shoots her a bewildered seriously? look and abruptly excuses herself from the table...and Amanda follows her into the ladies room and accuses her of using the counter-revolution to get close to her husband. Elena stares back at her incredulously and says she's been humiliated by losing her homeland and having to deal with her own countrymen despising her because of her traitorous father, but Amanda dismissively calls her a liar and a hypocrite and barks, "Stay out of our lives!" George Hamilton enters the Delta Rho attic clutching one of Krystle's red dresses and tells her it's the perfect frock for her to wear during their getaway to South America. When she perks up at the mention of South America, he snarkishly tells her she's not going to have an opportunity to escape 'cause she'll be heavily sedated before being smuggled aboard a private jet, then sinisterly says, "You can't get away from me" ... and a hopeless looking Krystle stares despondently into space. Prince Michael and Amanda are going at it in bed when he gets an urgent call from Duchess Elena, who needs to meet with him in fifteen minutes. He informs Amanda that the counter-revolution effort is in grave danger - egads! - and that he trusts Elena, but Amanda says she's pretty sure the woman is inventing excuses to come between them. Prince Michael assures her that nothing in this world could do that, gives her a big smooch, and tells her he's off to save his homeland. Rita/Krystle brings Blake a cup of herb tea, but he weakly tells her he's too ill to eat or drink anything and plans on seeing Dr. Tyler in the morning. Rita/Krystle insists he drink the bitter tasting tea 'cause it'll make him feel better, then lifts the cup to his mouth and forcibly pours it in. Caress is breakfasting in the La Mirage dining room when she spots Alexis enter the room. She hastily puts on her sunglasses and slinks past her oblivious sister...then stares at her from across the room for a few seconds - until Adam arrives and looks bemused by her ogling. Alexis tells Adam that clearly Blake has something far worse than the flu and says she wants to know everything that goes on at Carrington manor...and that if Blake becomes too incapacitated to run the pipeline project, she'll insist he be removed and then insert herself at the helm of the operation. Sammy Jo gets all in Rita's face and demands to know why she's been giving Blake heart medicine, then reveals that she just had the contents of his "medicine" bottle analyzed at a chemical lab. Rita admits that she and George Hamilton have been plotting to poison Blake to death so she can inherit a huge bundle of cash. Sammy Jo stares at her in horror and says she can't possibly go through with this diabolical plan, and Rita says, "It's done" and reminds Sammy Jo that she too is knee-deep in this, and that if she spills the beans to anyone, all three of them will end up in prison. Sammy Jo races over to ColbyCo to alert Steven about Blake's impending death, and he's all, "What the hell are you talking about?", but then decides she could be telling the truth. A deathly ill Blake is staggering down the second floor corridor, telling Rita/Krystle he has a pain in his chest and begging her to help him. She responds by backing away and descending the staircase...and he stares at her confusedly, then steps aside so his stunt double can hurl himself down the flight of stairs and land on the floor in a limp heap. A few seconds later, Steven and Sammy Jo burst into the mansion, cry, "Blake!!", and order Gerard to call an ambulance. As a panicked Steven administers CPR to his flatlining father, Sammy Jo looks upstairs and sees a freaked out Rita/Krystle peeking at them from inside one of the bedrooms. Thanks for reading! The best part about this episode (besides the Krystle impersonation plot almost being over) is that Dominique made a reference to the "burnt Champaign" and "lackluster caviler" from her first appearance. Hee!
