Recap: Alexis' adorable little dog scampers upstairs where Alexis and Dex are enjoying breakfast in bed and reading the morning paper. Alexis is so annoyed about Blake successfully negotiating a deal with a Chinese delegation regarding his South China Sea oil deal that she calls Carrington manor and leaves a message with Gerard for Adam to call her back asap. Blake and Adam return to the mansion from their Paris trip, and are greeted by Jeff. Blake tells him they approached Lady Ashley Mitchell for some diplomatic smoothing over after a cultural misunderstanding with the Chinese, then shoots Adam a hate-filled stink-eye for being the dumbfuck who caused the cultural misunderstanding. A few seconds later, Nicole ambles over with Little Blake, who's off to the zoo with his nanny...since it doesn't look like either his dad or new stepmom has any interest in spending the afternoon with the tot. Adam drops by the penthouse and confirms to Alexis that Lady Ashley Mitchell helped Blake reconvene a meeting with the Chinese so they could reach a deal regarding his oil leases. Alexis wonders aloud which bank(s) Blake will approach in order to borrow the funds he'll need to develop the leases, then asks Adam if he knows anything 'bout that. Adam says he has no idea what Blake's plans are, not least 'cause Blake doesn't trust him or anyone else enough to reveal them. Alexis wanks Adam by assuring him that she trusts him, and urges him to jump ship and come work with her at ColbyCo. Adam firmly tells her he has no intention of being disloyal to Blake, regardless of what an insufferable dickwad he's currently being towards him, and says she's going to have to find another source for this kind of intel. After he leaves, Alexis stares contemplatively into space before placing a call to Lady Ashley. Krystle returns to Carrington manor after a long horseback ride and finds Blake in the nursery, cooing at Kristina. Blake tells her his business trip was a great success and vaguely adds that he got some "outside assistance" ... and a disinterested Krystle's like, "That's nice" and gabbles about how much she's learning about raising horses, and herself in the process. She says that while she expects to make mistakes, she fully intends to succeed at something without his help, guidance, or bossy dickery. Blake glares irritably into space for a few seconds before saying he's done talking about this now...and Krystle accuses him of being dismissive about something that has become a source of deep fulfillment for her. She natters about how much she loooooves watching colts being born and haaaaaates that he never wants to share any of it with her...and Blake points out that she routinely shuts him out of her horse hobby 'cause she's [justifiably] afraid he'll take over the entire operation, and this leaves no real opportunity for him to share any part of it with her. Krystle refrains from acknowledging that that's actually a pretty good point, and just stares silently into space as he bitchily stalks out of the room to make some business calls. Back at the penthouse, Alexis and Dex continue to canoodle in the bedroom while Amanda sits in the living room, scowling at the giggly sex noises coming from upstairs. She flashes back to when she and Dex doinked in the ski lodge, then stares wistfully into space. In the next scene, Amanda has hurriedly packed her bags and raced over to Carrington manor. She whimpers to Blake about how she can't stand living with mummy and Dex anymore, and Blake assures her it's all good and that she doesn't need permission to sponge off of him by living in his mansion rent free...'cause, after all, non-blood relatives like Jeff and his skanky wife Nicole are shamelessly doing it. The following morning, Alexis barges into Blake's office to haughtily announce that she wants in on the South China Sea oil leases. Blake tells her he's not remotely interested in doing business with her and to go pee up a rope - just as she spots a photograph that Lady Ashley took of Blake in Paris and autographed. She cackles about how beautiful Lady Ashley is before sashaying towards the door. Back at the mansion, Amanda is sketching in the study when Dex drops by to apologize for his dickish behavior towards her and is sorry he hurt her feelings after his impulsive boning of her. Amanda snarkishly retorts that she doubts he'd change anything about their impromptu doink - just as Blake enters the room to see whassup with Dex being in his house. Amanda says that Dex was just leaving...and once he's out of earshot, Blake asks her if she's OK. She breezily replies that he just came to make peace between her and Alexis, and Blake stares back at her with a skeptical expression etched across his wrinkly face. Blake heads upstairs, where he finds Steven reading a bedtime story to Danny. After the nanny takes Danny off to bed, Blake tells Steven he's been thinking a lot about "how right" his marriage to Claudia was, and that he shouldn't throw away the chance to be a hetero married man. Steven mulls that over while staring contemplatively into space. Nicole tells Jeff that she and Little Blake are starting to become pals...and that after a long chat with Krystle, she feels as though they understand each other better. Jeff shrugs indifferently and tells her not to worry so much about what everyone else thinks, then glumly says he doubts he can ever really be happy again. Nicole fondles his bare chest and says she'll take that as a personal challenge, then steers him towards the bed. The two cackle sexily at each other as she takes off her robe...and he carefully lays her on the bed in a way that prevents the cameraman from getting a direct shot of her naughties, then mounts her. Steven is playing racquetball with Luke...and after a vigorous game, Luke invites Steven out for dinner tonight and also to get together this weekend to meet his sister. Steven shoots him a look of disgust and bitchily growls that it's a little too early for him to be meeting the family...and Luke somehow refrains from telling him where he can shove his rude 'tude. Blake tells Krystle he plans to host an event in Acapulco to auction off 25% of his South China Sea leases so he can raise the capital he needs in order to continue with his oil drilling...and smugly adds that he's pretty confident there'll be a stampede of business people who want to bid on the leases. Krystle says she's disappointed that he's jetting off again when he just returned from Paris, then gets a call from someone at Delta Rho, informing her that one of her colts is sick. She tells Blake she needs to deal with this crisis pronto, and rushes off. The veterinarian tells Krystle that the [perfectly healthy looking] colt is far too diseased with colitis to live a fruitful life, and recommends putting it down. Krystle stares back at him in horror, refuses to give up the colt, and orders the vet to do everything in his power to save the poor animal. At ColbyCo, Steven and Luke are putting the final touches on a press release when Steven wearily says, "We need to talk" and natters some bullcack about how frightened he is about how much he cares for him, while at the same time fears losing a sense of who he is and what he wants out of life. He says that while he loves him, he hates the idea of living the gay lifestyle and would prefer to work things out with Claudia so he can go back to being part of a traditional family unit. He embraces Luke for one last goodbye hug - just as Claudia appears in the doorway with a knowing look on her face. She bitchily says, "One of these days I'll learn to knock", and Steven explains that he was just now saying goodbye to Luke so he could work on resuming their marriage. He assures her that his fling with Luke is over, and promises from now on to be the world's most faithful, awesome husband. Billy Dee Williams is angry at Dominique for all the globe trotting she's been doing with Blake, and warns her that a phantom company has been making moves to take control of her company...and that he suspects it's Blake. Dominique says that's not possible, and reminds Billy Dee that she just inherited $100 million from Blake's/her father and can use those resources to fight off whatever phantom company is trying to destroy her. Billy Dee nonsensically refuses to consider that option and bitterly accuses her of wanting the spotlight all to herself. Dominique barges into Alexis' ColbyCo office, immaculately styled in a brown wool coat and matching fur hat, to confront Alexis about being behind the phantom company that's trying to take over her company. Alexis admits, "Yep, that's me all right" - LOL - and agrees to back off if Dominique caves to her demands:
Dominique warns Alexis that she's pushing her too far, and makes it clear that she has no intention of crawling into the gutter with her, despite being a gritty street fighter herself. At La Mirage, Claudia tells Adam that after a brief revisit to Gay Town, Steven wants to reconcile with her and go back to being a hetero husband. Adam looks shocked and predicts he'll cheat on her again, asks her how long she plans on wasting her life with such a bitchy tool, and urges her to file for divorce asap. Billy Dee Williams tells Dominique he found someone to help finance her fight against the takeover attempt - but Dominique turns that down and says she's putting all of her trust in Blake to help her out with the situation. Billy Dee gets enraged and snarks about not being needed in their marriage anymore...and when Dominique implores him to accept her alliance with Blake, he violently shoves her away from him and barks, "We're through!" Dominique stares at him in shock and cries, "Noooooo!!" as he storms out of her suite. Seems like a crazed overreaction to what sounds to me like a sensible business decision, but OK. Blake cheers up a morose Amanda by inviting her along to his auction in Acapulco, and she perks up and is all, "Hurra!" Amanda phones Alexis to needlessly report that she's off to Acapulco with Blake, and adds that it's probably a good thing if they don't see each other for awhile. After the call, Alexis scans the newspaper and cries out gleefully when she finds a blurb about Blake's upcoming oil lease auction in Acapulco. Dex overhears her happy squeals and says he plans on going too, and explains that he has some unrelated business with Blake that needs resolving. Krystle is elated when the colt quickly recovers from its disease and scampers happily around the paddock. Charles rushes over to Krystle and tells her that Rock Hudson is about to arrive via the incoming helicopter, and she makes an ew face, chirps, "Sorry, gotta go!", and scurries to her car and drives off before Rock has a chance to land. Krystle bursts into the study to happily declare to Blake that she and Kristina are accompanying him to Acapulco. He frowns in response and tells her it's not a vacation, and that he'll be working around the clock. He says he'll only be away a couple of days and promises to arrange a pleasure trip for them after the auction - just as Krystle stares down at his desk and notices the signed photograph of him that was taken by Lady Ashley. She cryptically replies, "So much can happen in a couple of days", then dejectedly wanders out of the room. Alexis is packing when Lady Ashley returns her call. Alexis informs her about Blake's oil lease auction in Acapulco and invites her to come as her guest, and is thrilled when Ashley's like 'sure, why the hell not?' Thanks for reading! I guess it was Billy Dee Williams who took Emma Samms off to the space. Not his first flight in a spaceship.
