Recap: Fallon is having a nonsensical dream about getting all hot and bothered with the alive version of the corpse that was found at the lake...and the weird scene goes on for what seems like a really really long time. A few seconds later, Blake storms into the library (where Fallon was napping), demands that she give him the photo of him with the dead guy she showed Alexis, and then throws it into the fireplace. He admonishes her for blabbing about the corpse to Alexis and thereby "opening a wound that might never heal". Krystle, meanwhile, is wandering towards the library and eavesdrops on the tail end of Blake's rant...and when she asks him whassup, he assures her that everything is fine and that she needn't worry her pretty little head about nuthin'. While that's happening, Fallon peers into the fireplace and sees that Blake didn't directly toss the photograph into the flames [much like Adam, he's unable to effectively burn something], so she reaches in and grabs it and looks visibly relieved that it only got singed around the corners. Dex is having a lovely dinner with Joanna at the outdoor Carlton Hotel restaurant when Alexis ambles onto the large patio. Dex introduces her to Joanna...and when Alexis doesn't appear to object to him being in the company of an attractive woman, he asks her if she's feeling OK. She breezily insists she's fine, then continues to amble off. As Dex ponders Alexis's uncharacteristic calmness when normally she'd be completely flying off the handle, Joanna tells him she's A-OK with him checking on his ex - but also supplies him with her room number (she's apparently moved into Room 408 of the Carlton) and tells him to stop by any time he'd like to get his wick dipped. Dex follows Alexis to her suite and asks her why she didn't go nutso cuckoo when she saw him dining with another woman just now. She just kind of shrugs and says she has bigger fish to try, then rails about "what that monster did". When Dex just stares back at her confusedly, she explains that Blake [allegedly] murdered Roger Grimes (aka the man she once loved) by shooting him in the head and then dumping his body in a lake. She bitterly recalls that after he had caught her and Roger in the sack together, he immediately banished her from their home and their children. An unsympathetic Dex points out that that was well over twenty years ago, and cites her love for Blake as the reason she could never allow herself to love another man (in particular, him). Alexis poutishly apologizes for causing him any hurt feelings 'cause of the intense emotion she has always felt for Blake, and a miffed Dex makes it clear that he's 100% totally completely dunzo with wanting to pursue a romantic relationship with her ever again. Dex makes a beeline over to Room 408, where Joanna is still wearing her glittery dress. She coquettishly invites him in...and then presses him against the wall and rips his shirt open, while he unzips her glittery dress and plants an amorous smooch on her lips. Fallon drops by Jeff's apartment to tearfully lament, "I'm sooooo alone", then explains that Blake is furious with her for showing Alexis the old photo of him and (deceased) Roger Grimes. She leans against him for a comforting hug and self-piteously says she doesn't have anyone else to turn to in such moments of sadness. Alexis summons Dex to her office for a yummy brunch, then offers to give him the parcel of land he's been wanting (near the Civic Center) in exchange for his help getting ColbyCo's finances back on track. Dex takes her up on it - but insists she sign away the ownership to him right now. Alexis looks visibly irked by being forced to fulfill her end of the deal...but, in the end, signs the papers. A few seconds later, Sergeant Zorelli drops by her office to ask questions about "a very old murder". After the commercial break, Sergeant Zorelli shows Alexis a photo of Roger Grimes' dead face and says he was shot in the back of the head. He says he learned that construction at the Carrington lake estate had dragged on for years, and hands her a list of the construction workers' names and asks her if she recognizes any of them. Alexis tells him she doesn't, not least 'cause most of the men were transient workers...so Zorelli hands her his business card and says to call him if she happens to remember anything useful. Once he exits the office and is safely out of hearing range, Alexis calls Blake and leaves him a message about Zorelli's visit, and says he'll definitely be interested in knowing what she blabbed to the sergeant. Joanna is exercising on a small trampoline in her Carlton Hotel suite when Dex lets himself in. He gives her a smooch and tells her he has a job offer she may be interested in...but before he has a chance to lock the door so they can start getting it on, Sable too lets herself in to hand Joanna some paperwork associated with her purchase of the hotel. Sable looks gleeful that Dex is seemingly done with Alexis and has moved on with Joanna, then hastily exits the room...and Joanna tells Dex that right now she has no time for a romp, but is happy to take a rain check. Over at ColbyCo, Alexis tells Adam how upset she is at the traitorous Fritz Heath for turning on her, while Adam bitches about how Blake had the audacity to appoint Jeff in a position that makes them both equals at Denver Carrington. A few seconds later, Blake arrives for a tête-à-tête with Alexis about her conversation with Sergeant Zorelli. She informs him that she was asked about the construction men who were hired to develop the lake property, then assures him she stayed mum about her suspicions that he was the one who killed Roger Grimes. When Blake insists that he did not kill Roger, Alexis smugly tells him she's in possession of an incriminating note that Roger had apparently given to her after he (Blake) had threatened to kill him...and that she plans to enjoy letting him twist in the wind indefinitely as he's forced to wonder when/if she'll ever share it with the police. While wandering around a seedy Denver neighborhood, Krystle tells Sammy Jo and Virginia that she really really wants to make a difference in the lives of poor people, particularly those like the Depression era type family she encountered (two episodes ago) who live in an alley shack. Virginia derisively mutters, "No one can help these animals" and says they should all be put out of their misery. As Krystle and Sammy Jo look startled and stare back at her with the fuck? expressions, a drug dealer rushes over and asks them if they're in the market for "a little snort". Virgina yells at him to get his filthy self away from them and then spits in his face (like, with a lot of saliva). The drug dealer gets angry and pulls out a large knife, so Virginia expertly fights him off, gives him a surprisingly decent beating, and screeches, "I hope you die in the gutter!" before running off. Krystle and Sammy Jo beat a hasty retreat to their car...and the drug dealer scrambles to his feet and attempts to pursue them - but isn't fast enough to catch up. He glares after them as they drive off and angrily mutters, "Come back and visit us real soon, you hear?" Sammy Jo and Krystle drive around the seedy area in search of Virginia, but she's nowhere to be found. Sable runs into Alexis at the Carlton Hotel and remarks on how she always wondered what happened to Roger Grimes. Sable then asks her cousin if she happens to know how he ended up dead...as in, did she kill him, along with Cecil, who abruptly died while she was sitting at his hospital bedside? Alexis just chuckles at her "fertile imagination" from having lived in Los Angeles too long, and the two bicker a few seconds more about which of them is more desirable to men...blah blah...until Alexis finally manages to close the elevator and head up to her suite. Krystle and Sammy Jo return to Carrington manor and are surprised when Blake tells them that Virginia got home a few minutes ago and is up in her room. He then informs Krystle that Dr. Hampton is in the library and wants to talk to her about her brain issues...and when Dr. Hampton wanders over and concurs about the urgent need to have a discussion, Sammy Jo urges Krystle to go do that while she checks on Virginia. When Sammy Jo sees that Virginia is packing her stuff, she chides her for her theatrics, and also for abandoning Krystle at a time she needs family the most. Dr. Hampton tells Krystle that, in many doctors' opinions, her only chance of survival is to have a risky surgery she may not survive...and even if she did survive, her faculties could be seriously impaired. As he's delivering the horrendous news, Krystle is intensely studying the leaves of a houseplant, then tells Blake she's going upstairs to check on Virginia. When Blake starts to go after her, Dr. Hampton advises him to leave her be, and let her have a chance to absorb the terrible prognosis. Sammy Jo tells Virginia that anyone who smack-talks street people (like she did earlier) has personally experienced life on the streets - an assessment Virginia hotly denies. A few seconds later, Krystle enters the room and looks alarmed when she sees Virginia's suitcase - but Virginia faux assures her that she was merely straightening up her clothes. When she and Sammy Jo inquire about what Dr. Hampton wanted to talk to her about, she wryly replies, "He said I was probably going to die" and ignores the stricken glances from her niece and cousin. Over at the Carlton Hotel, Alexis and Jeff are discussing the treachery of Fritz Heath and ColbyCo's alarming revenue shortage when Dex enters the suite and breaks the news to Alexis that Hamilton Stone only got two ColbyCo ships freed...and that "the pirates" in Natumbe have confiscated the other seven. Dex strongly suspects that this was a deliberate act of sabotage from Hamilton Stone in an effort to further damage ColbyCo's already precarious finances. That evening, Blake hovers worriedly over Krystle as she lays in bed, and wanks her about how she's the most beautiful woman the world has ever seen. He asks her if she would do him the honor of renewing their vows 'cause of how he desperately neeeeeeds that kind of marital reassurance, and she agrees and gives him a tender hug. Krystle meets up with Sable for lunch, and to discuss launching a philanthropic project geared towards helping Denver's poor and hungry population. The two agree that they've always felt they could trust one another, and Sable assures her that if her brain operation goes awry, she'd be happy to move the charity forward (and, in the process, rope Blake in). Sable then changes the topic to how Alexis's deceased lover was recently found on the Carrington lake property and that Alexis is hinting Blake should be the prime murder suspect. Krystle stares back at her in horror and realizes that that was probably the thing Blake hadn't wanted to burden her with earlier. Sable vows to not let Alexis hurt her or Blake by publicly suggesting that Blake killed Roger Grimes, and a visibly distraught Krystle moans, "This can't be happening. Not now" and gets up from the table and rushes off. Sable mutters, "Oh damn.." and tears up. Fallon runs into Sergeant Zorelli in a parking lot, and he admonishes her for not returning his many phone calls, and amusedly remarks on all the bad blood that seems to exist between her parents. He invites her out for pizza, but she declines 'cause she just made plans to meet someone...and he looks visibly disappointed as she climbs into her car and drives off. Fallon arrives at the Carlton Hotel to have a private chat with Sable. Fallon tells her she showed Alexis the photo of Blake and Roger Grimes, then asks her if she thinks Blake murdered him. Sable replies, "He very well might have" - but urges her to put a cap on her curiosity in case he did actually kill the man, which could result in the entire situation blowing up in her face. Krystle drops in on Alexis and demands to know why she's accusing Blake of murder...and points out that if she doesn't survive her brain operation, Blake will be the only parent Kristina has left. Alexis wryly says she'd be more than happy to take care of the tot, and a horrified looking Krystle vows to never allow her near her precious child or send Blake to prison. She glares at Alexis as she informs her that her brain disorder makes her do some pretty fucked up shit...then deliberately knocks over an expensive vase, which shatters after it hits the floor. Krystle further explains that sometimes she gets blackouts, during which she has no memory of what she's done. She picks up a thick book and uses it to pin Alexis by the neck against the wall, smugly threatening, "I could kill you, Alexis, and no jury in the world would convict me." She warns her nemesis to not do anything to hurt Blake - otherwise "you'll have to answer to me". As Krystle storms out of the suite, Alexis rubs her bruised neck and breathily mutters, "Only you're not going to be around that long." Thanks for reading!
