Recap: Blake is looking over the photographs he anonymously received of Krystle and Rock Hudson smooching when Krystle enters the room (after sleeping in the guest room) and asks if they can talk. He grumbles that they've already tried to talk everything out...and Krystle points out that during the fight they had the night before, so much was said in anger [and off-camera...WTF, writers??]. Blake says he's so angry about her and Rock kissing that he's going to need some time to sort things out, then stomps into the en suite bathroom. Alexis drops by Dominique's La Mirage suite to ask her if she lost her damn mind when she launched a takeover bid of ColbyCo. Dominique assures her she's of sound mind, and that the only reason she's doing this is 'cause of her attempt to seize control of Deveraux Industries (or whatever her company's called), then gleefully points out that ColbyCo is so vulnerable 'cause of all the available stock that's currently up for grabs. She promises to back off if she (Alexis) agrees to do the same, then defiantly growls, "You won't win this battle." Alexis retorts, "Don't make promises you can't keep" and flounces out of the suite...and Dominique starts coughing uncontrollably before touching her throat and staring worriedly into space about what the coughing fit could mean for the general state of her health. Claudia is getting dressed after a passionate night with Adam, who has just emerged from the bathroom in nothing but a towel. She tells him that last night was a mistake 'cause technically she's still a married woman - but Adam snorts derisively and reminds her that Steven is a gay man who's in love with another gay man, and that he (Adam) is the only one them who truly cares about her. Claudia mulls that over and agrees that they do need each other - but when they start smooching, she warns against the perils of falling in love and getting hurt. He's like, "Whatever" and strips off her negligee in preparation for another amorous romp. Blake is in his office, pretending to work while Lady Ashley photographs him. Dominique drops by, warmly greets Lady Ashley as she finishes her photo-ing and departs, and reports to Blake that Alexis somehow got wind of her takeover plans for ColbyCo. She reminisces about all the cat fights she's had in the music industry and how she had to claw her way to the top...then sadly says that Billy Dee Williams was always there to support her. Blake promises to be there for her while she spars with Alexis - but worries that Billy Dee might be persuaded to sell his stock to Alexis, who will then be in a position to "gobble up" her company. Dominique says she highly doubts that Billy Dee would ever turn against her like that, but Blake warns her to find him and be certain 'bout that before Alexis has a chance to sweet talk him into doing otherwise.
Krystle is in the nursery, gazing lovingly at Kristina when she suddenly has a flashback of when a paparazzo shot Blake rubbing suntan lotion on Alexis' shoulders while the two were staying at Ahmed's Italian villa. Jeff tiptoes into the room to ask her how things are going with Blake, so she tells him she hasn't yet shown him the compromising photograph of him and Lady Ashley someone anonymously sent to her. Jeff furrows his caterpillar brows and urges her to continue trying to work things out with goat daddy. Alexis is in her ColbyCo office, trying to track down Dex, when Krystle storms in unannounced. She says that someone has been sending her photos of Blake canoodling with another woman, reminds her of the suntan lotion stunt she pulled in Italy, and demands to know if she's the culprit in this latest mindfuck. Alexis stares back at her blankly and says she has no idea what she's talking about, but advises her to look at "the person behind the camera" ... and/or whoever has the most to gain by breaking up her and Blake. Krystle mulls that over while staring contemplatively into space. Dominique receives divorce papers from Billy Dee Williams, to which she responds by calling her flunky JJ and wailing into the phone, "What is he trying to dooooooo to us?! I love him! Find him for me!" Steven drops by the La Mirage to talk to Claudia and remind her that she had wanted to remain friends post-marriage breakup - but she bitchily tells him that their marriage died when she saw him meet up with Luke for lunch. Steven explains that they only had lunch to officially mark the end of their relationship, but Claudia doesn't buy that and says she hopes he won't be a dick about her continuing to spend time with Danny. That evening, Claudia phones Adam at the mansion to report how mean Steven was to her earlier and that she hopes she can still be in Danny's life. Jeff ambles into the study and overhears Adam tell Claudia to focus on him (not Steven) and their newly developed lust for each other...and when Adam ends the call, Jeff chides him for coming onto Claudia and snarks, "You're trying to steal what isn't yours." Adam smugly retorts that despite his attempts to worm his way into Blake's favor, he's his actual son and will always be of greater importance to the old man. As he strides out of the room, Jeff grabs him by the arm and warns him not to walk out on him...which Adam reacts to by punching him in the face. Blake, who just happens to hear the scuffle while walking down the hall, rushes into the study and finds the two idiots rolling around on the floor, arms and legs flailing. He orders them to stop the unsightly wrestling and demands to know what's going on. Jeff blames Adam for throwing the first punch...and when Blake glares over at Adam, Adam gets irked at his father for never taking his side. After he storms out of the room, Blake presses Jeff for an explanation as to the source of the argument, but Jeff keeps mum and says he can handle Adam on his own. Jeff, Nicole, and Little Blake (LB) are over at Alexis' penthouse for lunch. Nicole admonishes LB for repeatedly kicking her under the table...and when LB denies it, she snaps, "Are too!" LOL. Alexis suggests the brat go and play with the new toy she just bought for him...and the kid perks up at the mention of his new toy, deliberately knocks a glass of water onto Nicole's lap as he hops out of his seat, and scampers off to play. Nicole leaps up and shrieks that the "spoiled little brat" obviously did that on purpose...then makes a visible effort to cool down and explain to Alexis that even though she was married once before, she never had children and isn't used to being around them. When Alexis stares at Jeff in puzzlement at her mention of a previous marriage, he explains that Nicole is Eurotrash's widow. Lady Ashley is in the nursery, taking photographs of Blake holding Kristina. Lady Ashley gushes about how Kristina is "very beautiful" and "real Carrington stock" - just as Krystle enters the room and looks dismayed by the cozy vibe between her and Blake. Blake introduces the two, and Ashley explains that she's doing a quick nursery shoot for her new photo essay book. She then suggests that Krystle, Blake, and the baby pose for her...and as she snaps away, Krystle has an audio flashback of Alexis saying "look at the person behind the camera" and glares at her suspiciously. Alexis asks Jeff whassup with him marrying the widow of the man who Fallon was jetting off somewhere with when she died, and Jeff shrugs sheepishly and says he was too shit-faced at the time of the wedding ceremony to realize that he was slurring legally binding wedding vows. A dismayed Alexis offers to help him get out of this wretched entanglement, but Jeff insists on staying married to Nicole, mostly 'cause she seems to be extremely devoted to him. Alexis stares at him incredulously and urges him to find a woman who's actually worthy of him, and who can be a caring stepmother to his brat - but Jeff stubbornly insists that he wants to make the best of his dysfunctional marriage. After he storms out of the room, Alexis makes a beeline over to the phone and calls up the U.S. embassy in Bolivia.
Alexis is on the phone with a flunky named Conrad, demanding that he find Billy Dee Williams asap so she can convince him to sell whatever stock he owns in Dominique's company. Blake drops by her office to snipe at her for the hostile takeover attempt of his sister's company. He sternly warns her to stop, then quietly stalks out of the room. That seemed lame and pointless. Dominique meets up with Blake in his office to worriedly wring her hands about the possibility of losing control of her company. Blake tells her to get in touch with Billy Dee asap, and if necessary beg him to keep hold of his stock. Dominique promises to do her best to track him down [I thought JJ was on the case??], then heads out. After that, Blake receives a call from his PI, Tony Nelson, who reports that despite his best efforts he has no usable info on who's been sending him canoodly photos of Krystle and Rock Hudson. Over dinner, Alexis reminds Amanda once again what a great catch Prince Michael is, and that when one finds a prince, "one should know what to do with him". Amanda shrugs disinterestedly and says she's not the least bit sorry to no longer be seeing the royal dork, then changes the subject and asks what Dex has been up to lately. Alexis breezily says she has no idea and really couldn't give a shit. Dex is in rustic sleeping quarters in Paraguay, dreaming that Alexis is accusing him of playing games while Amanda lays naked on a fur rug, poutishly declaring, "I want you, Dex". Dex wakes up screaming - LOL - just as a military flunky rushes into his tent and tells him that Rock Hudson needs to see him right away. Lady Ashley is in her La Mirage suite and has all of the developed photos she's taken of Blake for her photo essay book strewn about. Krystle drops by unexpectedly and wanders around the suite, staring at the photos and asking her if she uses a special lens to shoot from far away, and if she always using the same mailing envelopes...which, she quietly notes, look exactly like the ones the compromising photos were contained in. Lady Ashley tells Krystle she gets the feeling she came here to accuse her of something...and Krystle says she was but now thinks she was mistaken, then awkwardly beats a hasty retreat. Dominique gets Billy Dee on the phone as she's enjoying a relaxing bubble bath, and tells him she doesn't want a divorce, but won't stand in the way of him obtaining one. She asks him if Alexis has been in touch regarding his stocks, then has another brief coughing fit. She recovers enough to bitchily demand an answer to her question...then stares angrily into space while the scene fades to black for a commercial break. Lady Ashley drops by Blake's office to tattle to Blake about Krystle's visit to her hotel suite and all the strange questions about photography she was asking. Blake scrunches his wrinkly face confusedly as Ashley adds that it felt to her as though Krystle were accusing her of trying to do damage to her marriage. Alexis is watching World News in her office...and when the anchorwoman reports that Billy Dee Williams declined to sell any of his stock to Alexis (not sure how that tidbit would get onto the world news airwaves), Alexis gets so enraged that she throws a giant glass cigarette lighter at the TV set, causing a minor explosion. Dominique enters her office at that exact moment and cries, "Bravo!", and Alexis glares over at her and asks her if she's here to gloat. Dominique's like, "Well d'yuh" and says she's also here to give her fair warning to look over her shoulder every time she makes any kind of business deal.
An irate Blake tells Krystle he's peeved about her going to the La Mirage and accusing Lady Ashley of trying to break up their marriage, so Krystle decides it's the perfect opportunity to finally show him the photo she received of him and Ashley dancing all cozy-like in Acapulco. She points out that clearly someone is trying to tear them apart, then says that he and Kristina are her entire world, which someone [with obviously nothing better to do] wants to destroy. Blake softens and says he wants to prevent that from happening just as much as she does...then reminds her that they're scheduled to attend a celebratory dinner for Dominique at the La Mirage this evening. Krystle says she's tired, has zero interest in keeping up appearances, and would prefer to stay home. At the La Mirage dinner, Blake toasts Dominique - who's decked out in a one poofed sleeve dress - and calls her "the victor" in her latest skirmish with Alexis. Dominique concurs that, as Carringtons, they've beaten Alexis and adds that she's greatly enjoying sharing the victory with her newly accepting family. She coughs for a few seconds before getting on stage to entertain everyone with some lounge music - but in mid-song her coughing gets so bad that she starts retching up blood, then suddenly collapses. Everyone's all, "Wha-a-a-t's happening?!" and crowds around her motionless body, while Blake yells at no one in particular to call an ambulance. Thanks for reading! Ashley (not adding Lady because she's not a lady) is a hypocrite and a tattletale. Ditto Claudia on the former, she was the one who first cheated on Steven because of her insecurity- wheras at the time Steven was resisting what he felt for Luke because he loved her Leave a Reply. |
