Recap: Jeff is having problems falling asleep 'cause of Baby Blake's non-stop crying. He gets out of bed and storms over to the nursery, where he finds Kirby cradling and gently cooing at his son. She tells Jeff the poor tot is teething, but Jeff just scowls and snarls, "It's your job to keep him comfortable and shut him up." Kirby shoots him a WTF? glare and says, "He's only a baby" and Jeff snaps out of his bitchy madness for a few lucid seconds, seems bewildered by his dickish behavior, then mumbles, "I don't know what's the matter with me." The next morning, Krystle is carrying Danny around the mansion, showing him all the expensive vases and works of art - but assures him that none of that gaudy crap is nearly as precious as he is. Blake ambles down the stairs with a goofy smile on his face and says, "Good morning" and Krystle coos at Danny, "This is going to be your new daddy!" Poor tot. A few seconds later, Fallon cheerfully bounds down the stairs and explains that she's off to the La Mirage early this morning 'cause an important client checked in last night: an Australian tycoon (and his wife). Krystle happily remarks that the mansion is getting "nice and full" of little ones, and Blake tells her that Steven would be very pleased if he knew she was taking care of his son. Fallon credits Krystle with bringing the family together (I guess they're besties now), then gives Blake a goodbye kiss and heads out. Blake stares after her sadly and tells Krystle he's really bummed that Fallon and Jeff aren't a family anymore. Jeff returns to the nursery, where Baby Blake is still crying. He glares at Kirby and snaps, "Is he still at it?" and says he's probably sick. Kirby says he's just teething, and Jeff snarks that he's making way too much of a racket for a baby who's just teething. Krystle enters the room with Danny and tells Jeff that Baby Blake is merely going through what all babies go through and assures him that it's nothing to worry about. Jeff shoots her the stink-eye and growls, "Do me a big favor and take care of your own kid" and Krystle and Kirby stare back at him, shocked by his increasing dickishness. After Jeff bitchily storms off, Kirby tells Krystle not to be angry with him 'cause he's probably exhausted from getting so little sleep lately. Krystle gives her one of her annoyingly serene smiles and says she doesn't have to apologize to Jeff for her - they all still love him, despite how rapidly and alarmingly he's been metamorphosing into Blake. She adds that she knows how "special and dear" Jeff is to her, and Kirby tells her about her childhood crush on him, blah blah...but that she's getting increasingly worried about his nutty behavior. Jeff enters the dining room, barks, "I just want coffee!" at the nearest maid, and she scurries across the room to fetch him a cup. Even though he could just as easily pour his own fucking coffee. Krystle enters the room and tells him she's very worried about him, 'cause he's not the same Jeff she used to know. She assures him she loves him, despite his recent bitchiness, and has been concerned about him ever since he passed out during The Search episode. She asks him if he's seen a doctor since then, and he snaps, "What is it with you women?!" and rails about how none of them gives a crap about calling a doctor for his gravely ill son. I think the toxicity of the blue paint is now starting the process of eating away at his brain cells. Over at the La Mirage, Mark is playing tennis with the Australian tycoon, and deliberately throws the match in order to keep the rich hotel guest smug and happy. Fallon calls him over and gabbles about the charity tennis tournament, blah blah...then notices his expensive watch and remarks that he's been wearing it ever since the day she tried to call him when his phone was off the hook (aka, the day he was covertly nailing her mother). Mark grins and agrees that his new watch is awesome, then gets all flirty with her and implies that he'd like to buy her a piece of jewelry. She tells him it's not necessary 'cause she already has more jewelry than she could ever wear...and then the two just stand there, eyeing each other suggestively. Jeff storms into Fallon's office and snappishly asks her if she slept well last night. She looks annoyed and asks, "You came all the way here to ask me that?" and he demands an answer. She tells him she slept OK, and he snarls, "I'll bet you did. I didn't see you all night!" She reminds him that they sleep in separate bedrooms, and he starts railing about how their son was sick, and that he never ran into her during the many times he stormed into the nursery to check on the tot (and needlessly bitch at Kirby). Fallon rolls her eyes and says he's just teething - but he just admonishes her for sleeping instead of looking in on him. He snarls, "Were you having pleasant dreams about your lover?!" and she wearily tells him to get lost and heads toward the door. He grabs her by the arm and demands to know who she's been hitting the sheets with - when suddenly Mark enters the office and is all, "What the hell is going on here?" Jeff releases his grip on Fallon and storms out, and Fallon confides to Mark that Jeff has been acting extremely squirrelly lately. Jeff is in his office at ColbyCo, angrily throwing papers on the floor as he frantically searches for something. He finds what I'll assume is what he was looking for: a framed photo of Fallon. He glares at it as he has a flashback of when she and Mark were dancing on the diving board at the La Mirage party, then jumped into the pool and kissed. He suddenly gets enraged by the memory, grits his teeth, and violently slams the framed photo on the floor and grinds it with the heel of his shoe. Yep - his madness is definitely starting to peak. Blake's secretary hands him some papers for the impending adoption. He looks them over, frowns concernedly, and calls Krystle to ask her to meet him for lunch at the La Mirage. A few seconds later, Adam drops by for his weekly mindfucking of Blake. He tells him he recently walked into Jeff's office and caught him playing a videotape of him (Blake) when he was in Las Vegas, railing at the fake Logan Rhinewood. He tells Blake that Alexis filled him in on the dirty trick Cecil played on him, then wonders aloud why Jeff didn't warn him about all the nefarious shit his uncle was up to. Blake explains that Jeff didn't know anything 'bout that, and Adam pretends to look perplexed and says how odd it is that Jeff would have been completely in the dark about Cecil's scheme. Considering that Jeff was married to Fallon at the time and also pretty chummy with his father-in-law, it isn't so odd, actually. Back at ColbyCo, Adam barges into Jeff's office with a videotape and asks him if he can use his VCR...and Jeff's just like, "Yeah, whatever." Adam puts the tape in, and it's the Blake/Rhinewood rant. Jeff stalks over and shuts off the TV and asks him what he's doing with that tape, and Adam says he found it among Cecil's stuff when Alexis was cleaning out his office. Jeff gives him a seriously? look and goes, "And a month later you decided to watch it?" Heh. Adam tells him that Blake recently mentioned the videotape to him, and Jeff's all, "Wuh?" and demands to know what he said...so Adam tells him that Blake accused him (Jeff) of being involved in the Rhinewood affair. Jeff says he highly doubts that Blake would ever say such a thing, then asks Adam what he's up to...and Adam stares back at him with faux, wide-eyed innocence and says he's just curious about the cassette - but that, clearly, Blake questions his loyalty. He lets out a bitter chuckle and says, "Blake's trust isn't even skin deep!" then advises Jeff to transfer his baby's Denver-Carrington stock over to ColbyCo so he can have control over both companies. He adds, "Just something to think about" and exits the room...and Jeff vigorously rubs his temples and looks as though he might be mulling over the seed that Adam just planted. Alexis arrives at Carrington manor with some brightly wrapped presents for the babies. Joseph tells her that Baby Blake is upstairs, teething and sobbing, and that Krystle is in the solarium with Danny. Alexis opts to pop by the solarium first and finds Krystle cuddling and cooing at Danny. Alexis remarks that she's getting quite attached to the little gaffer, then warns, "Don't get too attached. Your dreadful niece may come back and take him away." Krystle then smugly tells her that Sammy Jo left her baby at the mansion for good, and has asked her and Blake to adopt him. Alexis is all, "Wha-a?!" then storms out, and has her driver take her straight to Denver-Carrington.. Alexis barges into Blake's office and shrieks, "How dare you give the baby to Krystle?!" and accuses him of paying off Sammy Jo. Blake jabs his index finger in her direction and insists that he did not pay her off. He explains that Sammy Jo didn't want to be burdened with a baby, so she offered Danny to him and Krystle to raise. Alexis poutishly asks, "Where does that leave me? That baby is my flesh and blood!" She says she refuses to stand by and watch Krystle become his mother, then threatens to fight him in court. Blake looks wryly amused and goes, "Really? With your delicious maternal history?" and reminds her that she abandoned her own children. When she points out that he kicked her out of Carrington manor and made her leave town, he concedes and says, "Yeah, but I had damn good reasons." Alexis accuses him of trying to regain his second youth, and Blake snarks back that his son had a tramp for a mother - unlike Danny, who will be raised by a decent woman. He then barks, "Get out!" and Alexis huffily flounces across the office and exits the room. Over lunch at the La Mirage, Blake tells Krystle that the terms of Danny's adoption have to be changed...'cause if they go the official, state route, they could lose out to the couple who's been on the waiting list the longest. He says they'll need to do a private adoption, which means that Sammy Jo will have to sign papers that specifically name them as the prospective parents. Krystle says that's a good idea, but Blake grimly shakes his head and says Sammy Jo can't sign the baby over to them as long as she's still married to Mark. Why the hell haven't they resolved that yet? Krystle wigs out and says, "What if Sammy Jo decides to give Danny to someone else?" and Blake assures her she won't, 'cause in her heart she considers her (Krystle) to be his mother. Krystle looks pensively stricken and says that this new development frightens her - but Blake tells her not to be afraid, and declares that - barring Steven's unlikely return from the dead - Danny is definitely going to be their son. And speaking of Steven's unlikely return from the dead.. At the hospital in Singapore, the doctor and a nun nurse check on their mummified patient, who's finally able to speak! The doctor tells him he had to perform emergency plastic surgery on his entire face, and since he was unconscious and had no photos to work off of, he did his best to make him look like actor Jack Coleman. Mummy says he understands, and the doctor assures him, "I think you will be satisfied." He then asks Mummy who he should contact, now that he's alive and recovering, but Mummy sadly shakes his head and mumbles, "It doesn't matter." (Yep, that's Steven all right.) The doctor asks him his name, and he says it's Ben Reynolds...then says he's too tired to talk anymore and pretends to drift off to sleep. The nun nurse tells the doctor, "Well, at least we know his name" but the doctor scrunches his face in confusion as he walks over to a nearby chest of drawers and pulls out the belt that Mummy was wearing when he was fished out of the ocean. The camera pans in on the large C that's on the belt buckle, and the doctor scrunches his face in puzzlement and says that something isn't adding up here. Mark is chilling champagne in Alexis' penthouse when she arrives home. At first she looks annoyed at his presumptuousness in entering her home without her express permission, then quickly gets over it when he hands her a small gift. She opens it and finds a diamond broach, and poutishly tells him it's much too extravagant. He insists she's worth it and pins it on the collar of her blouse, and she breathily coos, "You're a very special man." His specialness aside, she makes it clear that she doesn't want anything serious right now, so if he's looking for a more permanent arrangement, he should look elsewhere (like at Fallon, for instance). Mark looks miffed and asks her if it's 'cause he's broke, and she hastily says no, then explains that she can only handle one passion at a time - and currently her #1 passion is directing as much venomous hatred toward Blake as is humanly possible. She tells him that hate is a far stronger passion than love, and that she really needs to dedicate every ounce of her energy to this priority. However, if he's still up for some guilt-free bedroom action, she'd be all over that...and Mark responds by leering at her suggestively and reaching for the bottle of champagne. Ew. Jeff arrives home and bitchily asks Joseph if the baby doctor came - and Joseph says he did, and that, despite a slight fever, he declared Baby Blake a perfectly healthy, teething infant. Jeff snaps, "I'll check him myself!" and heads upstairs. He encounters Kirby, and asks her if the baby is running a fever. Kirby tells him the doctor said it's perfect normal for teething babies to run a slight fever. Jeff asks her if Fallon knows about the doctor's diagnosis, and she tells him that Fallon had to fly off to Aspen for business. Naturally, this sets him off again, and he pissily storms out of the room. Fallon has just returned from Aspen, and is in her office, trying to reach Mark - but can't because he's busy doinking her mother again. She heads over to his room to see if he's there...and walks right on in, 'cause apparently he never seems to lock his door. Fallon sits on the bed for a moment to remove a pebble from her shoe, and just as she's doing that, crazy Jeff bursts into the room. He asks her if she got the latest update on their son, and she rolls her eyes, assures him she did, and that she's on her way to the mansion now. Jeff bellows, "He's burning up with fever!" then snarls at her for stopping by her lover's room first for a quickie. She tells him that Mark is just an employee, but he ignores that and asks her how many times they've hit the sheets today. She glares at him and goes, "What the hell is the matter with you?" and he accuses her of lying to his face, then grabs both of her arms and bitchily orders her to repeat: "I'm Fallon Carrington Colby and I'm no good" then rails about how she's a million dollar tramp, and a rotten person who doesn't give a damn about her baby. As she tries to fight him off, he throws her onto the bed and starts strangling her. Mark suddenly arrives home, is all, "The fuck?" and pulls Jeff off of Fallon and gives him a good backhand. The two then roll around the room taking swings at each other until Mark finally throws him out of the room - like literally throws him out the door. He rushes over to Fallon, who's totally freaked out and wailing, "Wha-at's happening?!" I dunno, but considering that Jeff came close to strangling Fallon to death, someone should probably call the police. Fallon rushes over to Blake's office and tells him she wants him to let her out of the marriage 'cause of how completely berserk Jeff has become. Blake sees her badly bruised neck and asks what happened, and she cries, "He tried to strangle me! He tried to kill me!" She insists she wants a divorce, like pronto, and that she's afraid he's going to finish the job, but Blake assures her there's nothing to be afraid of, and that no one's going to hurt his little girl. Jeff receives a memo from Alexis, ordering him and Adam to attend an upcoming conference. He does not look happy. Jeff arrives at Alexis' penthouse, and quickly downs the martini she offers him. He shows her the memo he just got, and she says the conference is at her request 'cause she wants to get an update on the company and be considered an equal to him and Adam. Jeff sneers that she could never be an equal, and that he has no desire to teach a woman who got rich because of "an accident of marriage" the ropes. He mutters, "I've got better things to do with my time" and storms out. He's really doing a lot of storming around in this episode. Adam, who was hiding behind a wall and gleefully eavesdropping on the conversation, enters the living room and tells his mother he overheard everything. Alexis explains away Jeff's bitchitude by saying he's been working too hard and needs some time off. She wants to send him on a long holiday, during which she plans to take over his office and run ColbyCo. Adam pales and says, "You can't do that" and she retorts, "I can and will do anything I wish." He tells her she can't go inside that office 'cause it's too dangerous, then spills the beans about how he had the wood paneling painted with paint that was mixed with a toxic compound, and explains, "Something to make Jeff more...malleable to us." Alexis closes her eyes and has to sit down to process the disturbing news. He tells her there are vapors in the paint, which is now in the paneling...and "that breathed over time, it disorients the mind and affects the thinking process". Alexis stares at Adam in horror as he explains that the poison is an effective way of keeping Jeff from being a stumbling block for them and their plans for ColbyCo. Alexis so aghast to learn that her long lost son is a complete psycho, that she just dramatically shakes her head from side to side. Alexis gasps and exclaims, "My God, you're killing him!" Adam says there's no danger of Jeff dying, then asks, "Mother, do I look like a murderer?" Uh, kinda. Alexis replies, "I don't know what you are sometimes" and he snarks, "Thank you for that." She orders him to remove the poison from the office immediately, but Adam deftly shifts topics and tells her that Baby Blake owns thousands of shares of Denver-Carrington stock...and if they can combine them with the shares that Cecil owned before he died, ColbyCo can take control of Denver-Carrington. Adam explains that his nefarious plan involves getting Jeff to sign over Baby Blake's Denver-Carrington stock to Alexis. She mulls that over, and when Adam insists that they have to leave Jeff's poisonous office as it is, she blurts out, "No!" and says she won't take a chance on Jeff's life or sanity. He says that he, on the other hand, is totally willing to do that - then threatens to tell everyone that he was just following her instructions - meaning, that the poison paint was her idea. He warns her that she could go to prison, and she glares back at him and snarls, "What kind of a monster are you?" He says he's a product of her and Blake (which does kind of explain a lot)...and that she has no choice but to do as he says. As he casually saunters out of the penthouse, Alexis stares after him in horror, then slumps her shoulders and sinks onto the nearest couch. Thanks for reading!
