Recap: Kelly is being quickly wheeled into the hospital after getting shot during the final moments of the previous episode. A freaked out Brandon is running beside her gurney, assuring her she'll be OK...and then the doctors wheel her off to the Emergency Room. The rest of the 90210 gang (plus Noah) arrives and anxiously watch the gurney as it disappears down the hall. Detective Woods from the LAPD appears and tells the gang he needs to question them about the shooting. Steve rudely snarks, "We're a little preoccupied right now. Can this wait?" and Detective Woods snaps back, "No. It can't. Not if you want to catch the champ who did this." We then get a montage of everyone's account of the shooting - but only Brandon is able to offer a helpful description of the shooters. He puts on his most serious face and stonily tells the detective, "You put him in front of me, I'll kill him" which is probably not the wisest thing to say to a police detective. Jackie bursts into the hospital, looking totally wigged out and crying, "How could this happen?!" The doctor comes out - hey, it's Daniel Dae Kim! - to report to everyone that Kelly's operation went well. He explains that they removed bullet fragments from her innards and thigh, and then reattached all the necessary arteries and intestines. He assures everyone that she'll be fine, but that she'll be under sedation until morning, so they should feel free to go home and get some rest. Jackie heads off with him to fill out some paperwork, and Brandon announces he's going to stay at the hospital, but urges everyone else to go home. The Peach Pit. Steve enters the diner and seats himself at the counter, where Nat is grumbling about his colicky baby and a waitress who quit on him a week before school starts. Steve gravely asks, "Haven't you heard?" and Nat just shrugs cluelessly and ambles off, still grumbling to himself. The new KEG rush chairman makes a beeline over to Steve and babbles about some new pledges he has with him, but Steve brusquely tells him it's not a good time and to go away. Nat reappears at the counter and goes, "Have I heard what?" so Steve tells him that Kelly has been shot. He then asks Nat if he can go next door and decompress with a stiff drink, and a shocked looking Nat hands him the key to the After Dark. The KEG rush chairman comes over again to ask Steve if he wouldn't mind giving some words of wisdom to the new pledges about how KEG is going to change their lives. Steve reluctantly heads over to his table, where he also meets Charlotte: a WNBA hopeful. Steve tells the pledges that KEG won't change their lives one bit, then invites them all to join him at the After Dark for a drink. Beach house. Donna's too sad about Kelly to go inside the apartment, so David steers her over to a lounge chair on the deck, and the two recline and canoodle. Donna whispers, "Life is so fragile" and David concurs and says when bad things like this happen, it makes you realize how much is taken for granted. Donna invites him to spend the night, then tells him again how much she wants him to move into the beach house with her - but he refuses to do that until she comes clean about their relationship to her parents. Noah instructs Valerie to drive him to an expensive looking house in the Hollywood Hills. She asks him whose house it is, and he goes, "I have no idea" and she's like, "Er...OK" and pulls into the driveway anyway. Noah gets out of the car, strips down to his boxers, and plunges into the pool. Valerie glances around nervously and says she's worried they're going to get arrested...but when Noah eyes her suggestively, she strips down to her bra and panties and joins him for a swim. She smilingly asks, "Why are we doing this?" and he replies, "'Cause we're not supposed to" and the two start smooching. Hospital. Brandon tells Jackie about how the two thugs in the LAX parking lot stole a car and drove away...but then returned and started shooting at them. Jackie thanks him for doing his best to protect Kelly, then heads out to check in with Mel. Brandon tells an unconscious Kelly that he's sorry he didn't do a better job of standing up to the shooters - even though confronting them would probably have made matters worse, considering he didn't have a gun. The Walsh house. Early the next morning, Noah wakes up after spending the night in Valerie's bed. As Valerie contentedly snoozes, he slips out of bed, gathers up his clothes, and beats a hasty retreat. Hospital. Kelly wakes up and sees Brandon sitting in a chair at her bedside, asleep. When he wakes up a few seconds later, she smiles at him weakly and whispers, "Hi." She asks him if she's going to be OK, and he assures her she'll make a complete recovery. Eventually. Beach house. David and Donna are up and making the bed when the doorbell rings. Donna is freaked when it's Felice, who has dropped by unannounced to moan about Kelly's shooting. Donna abruptly excuses herself to run over to the bedroom to inform David that her mother is in the living room. He's like, "Great. I'll be right out" but Donna starts twitching nervously and orders him to hide. He asks, "What's the worst that can happen?" and Donna wails, "Uh...I can burn in hell..?!" David rolls his eyes at the nitwit and says he thought she was going to come clean to her parents about their living arrangements, but she has stopped listening and is steering him over to the closet, then orders him to hide. A few seconds later, Felice barges into the room to see whassup, and Donna stands in front of the closet looking all suspicious-like and tells her mom she has some news that's probably going to upset her: she got fired from her job in Hawaii. (That's weird. Didn't her boss tell her it was A-OK that she screwed the pooch on the photo shoot and then begged her forgiveness for putting her in the impossible situation?) Felice clucks sympathetically and goes, "Oh honey." Hospital. Detective Woods tells Kelly, Brandon, and Jackie that he's putting together a lineup at the station and wants Brandon to come down and try to identify the shooter...and Brandon solemnly says he's looking forward to it. Steve and Valerie drop by to check on Kelly, and Jackie takes the opportunity to ask Steve if he wouldn't mind taking Erin to her soccer practice again. Steve scrunches his face in horror at the thought of being around a bunch of screaming six year olds, but agrees to do it. After Dark. David's corporate accounts for the After Dark are overdrawn...and when the beer distributor arrives, he demands payment and chides David for being tardy in paying them lately. A despondent looking David strokes him a check. Marina. Noah is working on the Martin's boat when Valerie arrives to bitch at him for not leaving her a note the morning after their doink, or calling her to tell her he had a great time. Noah grunts, "I had a great time" then tells her he did leave her a note on the refrigerator, which said "See ya". Ouch. He says they were both looking for comfort after Kelly's shooting - but that things went too far. Valerie asks him if he's into someone else, and he says no and assures her he likes her. He then invites her to go for a boat ride around the harbor with him, but she declines and snarls, "You've already taken me for one." Soccer game. Hilary Swank is standing next to Steve, barking at her tiny son to get in the game...and as she's doing that, she's flailing her arms about and accidentally smacks Steve in the face. He irritably tells her to take it down a notch, so she snidely asks him if he's hungover and then snarks about how he got her fired - even though she got herself fired when she decided to dump a drink on Steve in front of the restaurant's manager. Steve politely says, "You smell nice" and she bitchily retorts, "You look like hell" and leaps to the very specific conclusion that he must be so tired 'cause he hooked up with a bimbo in a sports bar...and prattles about the non-existent hook-up for what seems like a loooong time. Steve tells her she's wrong, but she just scrunches her face in disgust and barks, "What was her name?" Steve puts his sad face on and says, "Kelly" and explains that Kelly is one of his dearest friends who was shot in a drive-by last night. Hilary Swank snaps, "If this is a lie, I'll rip you in half" and Steve says he wishes it were, and that Kelly just got out of intensive care. Hilary Swank looks suitably sheepish and says, "I feel like an idiot. Why didn't you tell me before?" and Steve says he was trying to - and Hilary Swank admits not shutting up long enough for him to get a word in edgewise. Steve's like, "Don't worry about it" and then tells her he knows someone who's looking to hire a waitress, and she perks up at the job lead. Hospital. Donna enters Kelly's room with a bag filled with goodies and then starts tearing up. Kelly tells her to dry her tears and that she wants to talk about something, anything other than the shooting. Donna tells her that she broke the news to Felice about getting fired in Hawaii, but it's all good 'cause Papa Martin has lined up another job interview for her with a hip fashion designer. I guess she's his patient or something. Donna then says she's still too much of a gutless weasel to tell Felice about her and David bumping uglies and wanting to move in together...and Kelly rolls her eyes, and retrieves her house keys from her purse and pulls off her beach house key and orders her to give it to David (and also try to remember that she's a grown woman who doesn't need her uppity mother's permission to have sex with and/or live with her boyfriend). She tells Donna that when she got shot, the only thing she thought about was how happy she was that she had told Brandon - moments before the shooting occurred - that she loved him. She warns, "We can't always wait on things." Brandon arrives at the police department to view the lineup. He spots the thug immediately and identifies him to Detective Woods. Brandon glares hatefully at him through the glass window, and Detective Woods tells him not to go all vigilante and just let the police do their job. Brandon calls Kelly, who's visiting with Donna and Felice, to let her know that he made a positive ID of the shooter, and that he's being charged with attempted murder. David arrives at the hospital with flowers, and Felice is all, "Hey Davey! How's it going?" and David's all, "Wuh?" and realizes with dismay that Donna still hasn't told her about their plans to move in together. Felice heads off to do some shopping, and then David and Donna bicker about Donna's spinelessness in front of Kelly, who just shakes her head and says, "You know where I stand." The Peach Pit. Steve introduces Nat to Hilary Swank, and Nat hires her on the spot and asks her if she can start today. She looks startled, so Nat explains that if Steve vouches for her, that's good enough for him. Hilary Swank looks impressed and tells Steve she thought she had him all figured out. She then asks what he does, so he tells her he graduated from CU several months ago and is involved in some "cutting edge" things. He then struggles to think of what cutting edge thing he's involved in just as Charlotte (the basketball player) enter the diner. He tells Hilary Swank he's a sports agent and that Charlotte is one of his clients, then rushes over to Charlotte and pretends to talk business. Donna arrives at her job interview and finds her prospective boss working out on a treadmill. She tells Donna how super busy she is, then asks her if she's seen the clothes in their catalogue. Donna nods and unconvincingly says, "They look good" but the woman snorts derisively and calls the clothes boxy, bland, and boring. She looks over Donna's portfolio and decides that Donna is far too stylish to work for her company, but Donna begs her to reconsider 'cause she really really needs a job. The woman mulls that over for a few seconds and offers Donna a job as her personal shopper, since she's too busy making hideous clothes for the masses to do her own shopping. After Dark. Steve greets Charlotte after she arrives at the club and tries again to sell himself as her future sports agent. She gives him a hug to thank him for looking out for her - just as Hilary Swank walks by and gets the wrong idea. She shoots Steve the stink-eye, says something bitchy, then storms off. She is definitely one prickly pear. Brandon, meanwhile, calls Kelly's hospital room and - yikes - we see that she's being worked on by a team of doctors, one of whom announces that she had a pulmonary embolism. After they wheel her off to surgery, a nurse answers the phone and tells Brandon that Kelly has developed a complication. Hospital. Jackie, Brandon, Donna, and Steve are in the waiting room, getting an update on Kelly's condition from Daniel Dae Kim. He tells the gang that it's helpful that Noah shares Kelly's rare blood type 'cause he's agreed to be a donor. He then warns everyone that for a short time, Kelly's brain was deprived of oxygen, so it might be even less functional than it was before. After Dark. Noah apologizes to Valerie for his dickishness at the marina that morning and presents her with a peace offering in the form of a snow globe that he bought at the hospital's gift shop. He tells her he's very impressed with the way the 90210 gang looks out for each other...and then Valerie starts babbling about the kind of music she likes, blah blah, and eventually the two hit the dance floor. Hospital. Donna joins Felice in the chapel, and decides it's finally time to discuss her and David moving in together. Felice purses her lips disapprovingly and says, "I see" and Donna says they both think it's time. Felice sternly asks, "Is he pressuring you to have sex?" and Donna softly replies, "He doesn't have to. We love each other" and Felice looks pained and says she doesn't want to talk about this anymore. Donna gabbles about how proud and guilt-free she is about remaining a virgin until Aaron Spelling was finally able to let the fictional character his daughter portrays hit the sheets with her longtime fictional boyfriend, and refers to her first time as "loving, romantic, perfect". She wistfully says, "I wish you could be happy for me" and Felice tightly replies, "I'm sure you do", then gets up and stiffly exits the chapel. That talk went a whole lot better than I was expecting, considering. Jackie and the 90210 gang are in the waiting room, nervously waiting for word about Kelly. Donna pulls David aside and tells him she finally told Felice they're doinking, and about their plans to move in together. David gives her a happy hug and says he's proud of her and relieved that everything's finally out in the open...and a few seconds later, Felice walks by and shoots them a disapproving stink-eye. LOL. Donna anxiously asks David if they're really, truly, totally committed to each other, and he says, "Of course we are." Donna hands him Kelly's house key and declares, "No more secrets or sneaking around." Brandon sits by Kelly's bedside, looking at the photos they took in Hawaii and telling her he's trying to be strong, but this setback has made it difficult. He clutches her hand and says, "You gotta come back to me" and her fingers curl around his hand, so he promptly alerts the nurse's station. When her eyes flutter open a few seconds later, Brandon gently says, "Hi. Glad to see you" and softly kisses her forehead. Kelly stares back at him blankly and goes, "Who are you?" and Brandon's all, "Wuh?" and the two stare at each other in confusion until the end credits start to roll. Thanks for reading! I was so horrified/laughing as Donna decides that the chapel is the right place to tell Felice that she and David are boinking, I’m just so relieved she didn’t go into more excruciating detail than she did.

This episode is actually on Hulu - it is mislabeled as Episode 3 but has the title Forgive and Forget.

First of all, what the heck is wrong with Donna's brain? To get into detail about sex with any mother is awkward. My own mother says, No sex details please, do what you want but don't tell me about it. So i don't. Period. Here Donna is doing a little too much information..TMI to her mother in a chapel. What a weirdo. Also Felice Martin is one tough cookie. TO get angry to your daughter for something like this? UGH.

Thank you for commenting on Donna's job! I'm so bothered that in this episode Donna has suddenly been fired from the assistant job she had in the previous episode after they made the point of having her boss make that nauseating apology and telling her she wasn't responsible for everything going wrong at the photoshoot! Why couldn't they just have had the boss fire her for being incompetent or unqualified?? Ahhhh!
